Detailed Reviews
We had an amazing stay at mango house. Right from the greeting at reception to the fantastic location, comfy rooms with an amazing pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens in the centre of the resort. I would call this type of accommodation as traditional queenslader style feel with a relaxing calming feel. The rooms are very clean with everything you would expect to find and need. The staff gave a fun loving vibe and went the extra mile to help (Kelly and jeff you pair of legends) wherever they could. We couldn't fault this little gem and will be returning the 1st chance we get. Loved loved loved it...

Pam at Mango House was incredibly helpful and friendly . We felt like we were staying with a friend. She kindly upgraded our room for our honeymoon which had a lovely pool view . Apartment had all facilities. The Housekeeping staff were more than helpful and extremely friendly, offering to help us with our bags . We can not thank you enough. We would definitely stay again .

Upon arrival we were very warmly welcomed by Pamela, and we could not wish for a more helpful and nicer host. When she understood that we are Dutch (her son is married to a Dutch girl and lives in the Netherlands) we immediately and spontaneously got an upgrade to a complete equipped and very spacious, clean apartment with private parking right outside the door. Fantastic!

Date: Friday December 8
Time: Afternoon arrival
Duration of stay: 1 night
Upon arrival at the resort we received keys for adjacent rooms: 28 Poolside and 28 Treetops.
After unlocking the door to 28 Treetops I immediately came to the realisation that the room had not been serviced! There were objects left behind, the bed was unmade and there was dirt on the bed. Somewhat dismayed I returned to Reception to voice my concern. I was very polite and understanding. As my business partner had ducked out to get some provisions for our stay and had left me his key I was advised to try to access 28 Poolside room to see if this was acceptable?
I unlocked the door to 28 Poolside only to find it was still occupied which immediately made me feel very uncomfortable! By this time my business partner had returned and I informed him of the situation. We both went to reception to try and find a suitable solution to the problem. We were polite and considerate in our approach, however after having driven over 1000 kms that day we were feeling a little inconvenienced to say the least.
There were now no adjacent rooms available and we had to make do with adapting to the obvious displacement! The attitude of the reception staff was relatively unconcerned which only added to our consternation. We felt that as a gesture of goodwill the management should at least make some concession rather fobbing us off with a compromise to our original booking.
I felt that the quality of the room did not by any means warrant the cost. The furniture was old, with laminate peeling off the coffee table, lights that did not work, wear and tear was clearly evident throughout, dirty glasses and toilets stunk, reflecting a general trend of poor upkeep and maintenance.
We will never stay here again and highly advise anyone to look elsewhere if you want clean, friendly accomodation in Airlie Beach .

Have stayed at Pete and Pam's lovely Mango House Resort on many occasions and the hardest part is having to leave. Such a comfortable stay in a clean and spacious one bedroom apartment, Queensize bed is comfortable too, which is important to us.
Good size balcony with lovely garden views leads down the stairs to the sparkling pool and spa.
IGA and takeaway Cafe opposite and the Jubilee Tavern just across from the resort offer a delicious meal and drinks, as well as a 10% discount to Mango House guests.
Thanks again Pete and Pam for making us so welcome. Highly recommend this resort and cannot beat the prices. Will be back again.

Friendly welcome at check-in and my room was spacious, well-appointed if lacking power points in the kitchen and comfortable. The balcony overlooking the pool was the perfect location to spend an early evening enjoying a refreshing ale. Sort stroll to the Jubilee Tavern is a bonus and discount they offer because you’re a guest at Mango House it the icing on the cake for me.

We had a great stay at Mango House! Thank you Pam & Pete for providing this great spot! Rooms are immaculate, bbq facilities available. On the main Shute Harbour / Proserpine bus route which made it so easy to get in to Airlie Beach. All the tour operators we used provided pick up and drop off at our front door for the duration of our stay. The Friendly Grocer across the road made it convenient to get anything we forgot. Being self catering made it convenient to eat in. Lovely spot! Fabulous hosts ❤️

We booked last minute so our choices were limited so we hit the jackpot with this last minute cancellation.
Mango House is charming, with incredibly helpful owners so it felt like staying with friends.
Our poolside room was extremely spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.
We used the bus to get around Airlie so the bus stop virtually out the front worked really well.
Thank you Pam and Kelly for such an enjoyable stay - we will definitely be back.

My company found this property as a last minute emergency accommodation plan so I was very grateful for the booking. Nevertheless, what makes this place so great isn't the property itself, but its owner/operator Pam. A lovely lady, Pam was there to greet me when I arrived quite late, was able to help out with last minute dinner ideas, and the following day was kind enough to drive me into town so I could peruse the main Street before my afternoon departure. Thanks Pam, it was lovely meeting you, I enjoyed your stories 'up in the air'. I hope you get the break you deserve after so many years. Thanks for your hospitality.

We booked late and found there wasn't a lot to chose from at that stage for a reasonable price.
I will get straight to the point - ask if the room is located close to Shute Harbour Road when you book. This room was arguably the worst we have ever stayed in with regard to road noise. As a consequence it was simply a terrible night's sleep....people walking past on the street until all hours etc etc....
The room is well appointed, in a decent location but very much in need of some renovations.
You get what you pay for in this case for sure.

Hi All units here have a washing machine and dryer in them
Hi Restaurants usually only open for Xmas lunch, but same might open all day. We have a supermarket that opens Xmas day opposite the hotel.

None of the beaches we saw at Airlie were anything to recommend. The closest is on the edge of the CBD, however there is a man made lagoon just next to the beach which is very popular. I would guess the distance at around 2 Km.
no booking only for 2 people, unit has 2 sofa beds in lounge area for the kids and extra cost is $30 so total $200
HI and yes it will be a poolside room either ground or first floor. How you relax on New Years Day pretty much in your hands. Peter Hansen
