We stayed there for just a couple of days on a last minute whim and a desperate need for some down time. We could not have been happier. The brand new owners were great. Even in the midst of their transitional craziness, they were helpful, funny, and engaging. We will most assuredly return.

The new owners are very friendly and a great resource for area restaurants, stores, attractions, etc. They cook great breakfasts and keep the inn very clean. I'm looking forward to seeing how they update the decor while maintaining the charm of the old house. The location can't be beat, as you can walk to the harbor, parks, restaurants and shops,...

My husband and I spent the 4th of July weekend at the William Grant Inn in Bristol RI. The inn is a charming historical house that was built in 1808. It is beautifully decorated and sits on a corner piece of property with a magnificent yard. It is a very relaxing setting with a pond and beautiful vegetation. Our room...

I stayed at this B&B over the 4th of July weekend. Great location near the center of Bristol and all it has to offer. Doug and Liz were very accommodating and flexible which made the stay even better. Great food as well. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Great experience! The host's were very nice, friendly and could cook an amazing breakfast. No complaints, rooms were very clean, quiet, the house was beautiful. Parking was no problem....we would definitely go back. We spent the day at Horseneck Beach in Westport which was 25 minutes away. Great restaurants nearby and plenty of places to walk and look at the...

Our stay was with the new owners Doug and Liz. They are very nice people and have some great ideas about updating the place. The breakfast was amazing and the bed and breakfast was in a good location. We stayed in the nautical room and it was a good size. We would return.

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for a wedding. My mother-in-law reserved the room for us, and I wasn't sure what to expect upon arrival. The room was comfortable and clean. We had made plans to share the room with my brother-in-law as well; however, I would not recommend this. The owners were kind enough to set up...

I would agree with the reviews dated July 1, 2015 and July 2, 2015. The innkeepers really do try their best to make one's stay pleasurable. They were very accommodating at our need for an early breakfast, with Warren whipping me up an omelet in seconds. There are little personal touches, such as coffee, mints, and cookies in the room,...

My husband is not a big fan of B&B's, so when we travel we stay at "ordinary" hotels. This time I was able to convince him to try the William's Grant Inn and he was not disappointed! To say the inn was cozy and quaint is an understatement. The hospitality offered by innkeepers Diane and Warren was wonderful. They made...

15 years ago, Debbie and I visited the William's Grant Inn. Diane and Warren were just starting their adventure as Inn Keepers. Years had passed but we were drawn back to redo the East Bay Bike Trail. As luck would have it, Diane had a room to match our dates for re-visiting the area. We found the Inn, and Diane...

William’s Grant Inn is an old sea captain’s home built by William Bradford in 1808 on a quiet street a short distance from Bristol town center. It is a 5-bay Federal Colonial style, furnished throughout with antiques. Visit the large collection of teddy bears from many parts of the world, nestled within the collections of American and foreign furniture and curios and art. Many of the hanging artworks are family heirlooms done over the past century together with wonderful copies of the great masters. There are fifteen large koi in the fish pond placed in the back gardens, an oasis of fern and other greenery. The rhododendrons are magnificent in the spring. Each room is decorated in its own style with antiques. Each has a queen bed and a private bath. A full gourmet breakfast is included for all guests. Gas coal basket fires in three rooms—Blithewold, Sturbridge and Nautical Rooms. The guest parlor has television/DVD/VCR for your pleasure and a piano for those so inclined. Complimentary cold drinks, port, sherry and liqueurs are in the parlor for your enjoyment. The inn is a short walking distance to many fine restaurants and numerous shops featuring antiques, arts and crafts. Bicycles and kayaks are available for rent near the harbor.
