Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

have stayed here before, this was a winter trip to go check on our camps. no staff encountered as they do it all over the phone during winter. rooms recently refreshed with new carpet, bedding, furniture and TV's. Water pressure like an elephant wash, really good, and water nice and hot. tv reception perfect and wifi is blazing fast. always a nice visit

The staff here are first class.. Great attitudes.. We stayed in the house located on the property which suited the 8 of us well. It isn't plush by most standards, but clean & functional.. The course was fairly wet due to recent rains, and a few of the greens had recently been aerated which made putting interesting, but we all had the same issues. And to add more confusion, the bridge you cross to arrive at the course is being replaced with a new one, so we dealt with tree cutting equipment moving around in some of the cart path areas, but we worked through that small issue too. The view from the # 7 tee box is stunning. The food was very good, abundant and reasonably priced and JJ did a wonderful job of taking care of us. Looking forward to another golf trip here.

Worst service in a long time. We had to wait almost 40 minutes for a drink. The food was cold and the sink in the men's bathroom had a urinal mint on the sink...yuck! I will never go back, if I was plaster from drinking all day on the course I could see the appeal as the waitress had their breast hanging out....but just to come here and have a meal and a drink...NO WAY!!!!!

First of all, the rooms and resturant/bar are very unassuming- they do not advertise luxury- just beautiful scenery, great service, and a good golf course. The service is very friendly, the food, mainly pub fare, is tasty, and it is a very comfortable place to hang out and have a few drinks. Have been there multiple times, and have stayed in their rooms and condos on occasion. The accomodations are moderate, clean, water pressure like a fire hose, and again you can't beat the scenery and friendly service.

I've traveled to this golf course/lodge with buddies of mine several times, and will do so again. The guy saying the prices are "to" high must be high. We stay for two nights, and pay $149 per person, which includes unlimited golf. I can't conceive of a better bargain. The food is what it is: Reasonably good pub fare, with the added advantage that no one has to drive because it's all right there... lodge, golf, food, beverage. All in a beautiful, rustic setting out in the woods with spectacular views. Hunter Station Lodge does not pretend to be anything it isn't, and is a great bargain.
