We returned to State College because my alumni husband had not been back since his graduation over 40 years ago. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our tour of the beautiful campus. Delicious food, helpful staff, and cozy, clean accommodations. We would definitely return to this iconic inn.

I highly recommend the Nittany Lion Hotel for all going to State College. Please also take time to visit the arboretum a little way down Park Avenue. I was particularly happy with the food and the attitude of the staff in Whiskers.

Very convenient and comfortable place to stay. Student staff were excellent! Cant beat location! I didn't way in the restaurant, but at drinks at the cozy bar. Food for the "tail gate" was really quite good as well! Room traditionally furnished, but clean with frig and microwave.

Stayed here for a conference and would love to come back. The hotel is clean, comfortable and has a very courteous staff. Some of the staff are students of Penn State, studying hospitality management and other various educational avenues. The rooms are a good size complete with flat screen TV's, cable and free wi-fi. There is a free shuttle that...

During the last week, I stayed at the Nittany Lion Inn. This is a landmark on the campus of Penn State University. We enjoyed dining at Whiskers, using room service and in the main restaurant All three had excellent service and good food. Food was fresh and pleasing to the palate. Servers were courteous, friendly and prompt. Our room was...

This was the first time I have stayed at The Nittany Inn in years and I loved everything about it. The grounds were beautiful and well-kept. The building is very unique; very historical feeling with the columns and the antiques or the "dining room" that is set with fine china. I was very impressed with the rooms. Very clean. Not...

Was here for my PhD interview weekend in January! Had a wonderful stay! Though our reservations were handled by the Huck Institute of Life Sciences, I would like highlight the wonderful staff. Due to the heavy fog, all flights were cancelled so the staff went out of their way to shuttle us back to the hotel from the airport, extend...

I stayed here for 2 nights with my teenager who was on campus for a science competition. It was my first time ever in Happy Valley. It was extremely convenient as a "home base" and I would stay here again simply for the location (for a decent rate). There were no other significant activities happening on campus, it wasn't crowded,...

The building is breathtaking and decorated in Penn State colors throughout. Our beds were comfortable and the pillows and bed linens were great. Spacious room with nice amenities. It's walking distance to everything on campus and the College Ave stores and restaurants. The food and drinks on site were excellent. Great atmosphere. Everything about it was top notch. Will definitely...

Very traditional inn with lots of PSU pride. Exactly what you expect--- great service, quiet comfortable rooms, nice amenities. Price is more for the experience than the actual facility or service. If you don't choke at the rates and just stay because it's the NLI, it will be just perfect.
