This was our first overnight with my mom's camper and the facility was great. It was quiet and the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were spotless! We were only able to stay one night, but the location was great, 15-20 minutes from Donegal exit of the PA Turnpike, which is close to Falling Water, Idlewild Park, Fort Ligioneer, and more.... Pulling a travel trailer on our way to Pittsburgh, we developed truck breakdown. Needing to lighten our load, we found Pioneer Park Campground just off the PA turnpike. The staff guided us to their site ( we left Garmin at home as this was a trip we have done before) a d were very helpful accommodating us in our situation.... More

The Good: This is probably the most picturesque campground in the Laurel Highlands having 4 stocked lakes and great foliage. The amenities are of good quality however the pool which has not been enlarged is small considering the growth of the campground in terms of full utility sites The sites are of good size with 30 amp service on the... We just got back from two nights of tent camping at Pioneer Park. Our site was nice and spacious, the bathrooms were very clean, and the staff was helpful. They let us drive around to look at the sites before we picked one. The kids had a great time at the pool, we went kayaking at Laurel Hill State Park... More

Numerous Complaints and Multiple Issues This campground is extremely clean and picturesque; however, that is where its attributes end. In the past few years, the prices have steadily climbed and services have been cut. 1. The pool is in dire need of repair. If it is heated (as it advertises), it is solar heat. The lifeguards fluctuate between being oblivious... More

This campground is on par with a KOA. Lots of amenities and activities, very clean, but of course you have to pay for all of that. Fishing is free for kids. Golf and paddleboats cost a few bucks. They charge you extra for kids over 5. But otherwise, beautiful park in a beautiful mountain setting. Most of the sites are... More

The campground is mostly for RVs. We paid $39.00 for one night to tent camp. It was $36 for 4 people and $3 additional for another child. I think the camp sites should be able to include 5 at least. The fishing pass is $11 for one day or $13 for the weekend. The mini golf is $4/person and is... More

The park itself is pretty nice. Most of the staff were pretty nice as well. Managers are seriously riddled with mental illness. I met an older woman and a guy in his 40's. Both stars they were managers. Both are very rude, passive aggressive, confrontational and very unprofessional. It's like dealing with 4 year olds. From what I understand, in... More

Had a business meeting in the area and stayed here. I really enjoyed the experience. It was during the week after Labor Day so it was pretty quiet the time I was here, When I am in the area again I will definitely stay here

I always stayed here and I finally had to move my camper. You pay these people to be rude to you. There are other campgrounds in the laurel highlands. The office staff is the first people you speak with and it's there way. No if ands or buts.
