We spent a long weekend in Shawnee to celebrate baby's 1st Birthday. Weather was hot hot hot but we stayed cool in the pool morning noon & night. This unique Inn built in 1853(?) Is charming and well preserved. Hosts Rose Ann & Pete couldn't be nicer... Allowing for space & privacy yet readily available for regional advise, travel tips...

Nice, quiet room on 3rd floor. The Bridal Room with suite. Very relaxing. Pete & Rose Ann very nice. Shower good. It's an old home but we were very comfortable. Breakfast made by Owners in the morning very good! Pete even drove with us in the morning to show us where to start bike trip due to lots of construction...

With less than 24 hours notice (and in a stroke of great fortune), Pete returned my inquiry with a phone call and thus began the celebration of our 31st wedding anniversary at the Stony Brook Inn. Rose Ann made our day by demonstrating their player piano (invoking memories of my childhood) and Pete offered some wonderful dining suggestions. Wonderful location...

The Stony Brook Inn is located on the easy to fine River Road. Inn keepers Pete and Roseanne operate this warm and inviting b&b, a large old home with a babbling brook running behind it. We stayed in the bear room with its king sized bed and antique pieces of furniture. All rooms have a private bath. The Inn has...

My husband and I stayed here when we went to the COTA Jazz Festival last year. The home was near the festival along with other activities. The hosts Rose Ann and Pete were very hospitable, the breakfasts were delicious and the house was beautiful. We will definitely stay there again.

What a warm inviting bed & breakfast this is. If you are used to the sameness and anonymity of a Holiday Inn this is the cure. Here you are welcomed in and made part of the Stony Brook family. Sure we got all the relevant advise as to hiking trails, waterfalls, where to eat etc.... All the basics covered. But...

who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I visited mid-week as part of a group who were kayaking down the Delaware, and we took over the whole house. We landed a little later than expected, but were met by the owners, who showed us to different rooms for our first urgent need - showers. They were...

My boyfriend and I stayed here in November because we had tickets for the playhouse, which is just next door. Rose Ann and Pete are absolutely wonderful! They were happy to accommodate my gluten-free diet for breakfast and shared advice on places to eat and other local activities over the weekend. Just the loveliest people! We stayed in the oak...

“Just call and talk to the owners. They will get to know you and you can figure out which will suit you best. They have rooms on all three floors, including a ground floor one for those who cannot do stairs, and a larger, more private suite on the third floor.”
