It's a bit of a drive to get there, but the views are good, and it's nice to be away from a town. My room did not have its own bathroom. Everything worked fine. I enjoyed hanging out in the lounge / living room.

I am very sorry you feel this way. The lodge sits in the middle of 40 acres and those 40 acres are surrounded by State Park and open space. When doors are left open, which happens with groups, harmless critters can sneak inside....More
