We were so fortunate to have this beautifully appointed bed & breakfast recommended to us by a shop owner in New Hope. How lucky we were indeed! The room was charming and the oversized tub was a relaxing end to a adventure-filled day. John, the...More
Just returned from an overnight at Porches in New Hope. Many thanks to John the owner for a wonderful visit. Great location, and he's done a nice job of updating the place while keeping a rustic feel. Breakfast in the morning was tasty as well.
Went for a ladies weekend and the place is just a classy place. Each room is beautifully decorated, the owners are just so friendly and inviting. The place is surrounded by beautiful vegetation. I highly recommend this place.

By coincidence, I just returned today from another fabulous stay at Porches and asked the owners your question. Room 11, which is in a separate building from the main house, is a lovely room that is ground level and has a seat in the shower. (I stayed in this room on a previous visit and loved it.) All of the beds in all of the rooms are high, however, so depending on the handicap, that might be an issue. There are a few steps (three or four) that must be climbed going into the main house where where breakfast is served on the porch in nice weather and in the dining room off season, but they will also deliver breakfast to your room upon request. I would suggest calling the management with more specific details about the handicap to ensure that Porches is an appropriate accommodation. It certainly is fabulous from all other perspectives!
