I genuinely could not fault my stay, nothing was too much trouble for them, always qccomdatinf my needs and I want to thank all the staff for their sincere kindness. I intend to go back to canngu later in the year and there is no where else I would want to stay! Thank you - George

The epitome of luxury!!! Absolutely cannot fault this place. The interiors feature a perfect blend of Balinese culture and French antiques, particularly special if you have an eye for design! There is not one detail that goes unnoticed and the staff are highly attentive - constantly offering cold drinks and towels while you’re around the pool to keep you comfortable and providing amazing suggestions on local activities and restaurants. We loved having a room with a plunge pool for late night dips and private swims. The food was sensational - the truffle scrambled eggs for breakfast and tuna tartare for lunch are a must! Will be back in a heartbeat!

Our stay was perfect. The staff were attentive, kind and generous, always going beyond to make sure our needs were satisfied. They communicated quickly if we had questions or needed reservations making. The food quality and presentation was excellent.. plenty of breakfast choices (a la carte) and we also ate off the lunch menu and that too was delicious. The pool area is beautiful. The pool itself is large, however as the hotel only has a few rooms, it was never crowded and we didn’t notice any other guests… felt like a private villa to ourselves. The hotel is situated off a busy street with plenty of nice restaurants and shops.. but the hotel is hidden and therefore completely private, so the perfect place to stay for a quiet and peaceful time. Our suite was spacious, freshly cleaned twice a day, and we didn’t see one mosquito (a big plus!). We had a private plunge pool and terrace area, which was lovely for relaxing. La Reserve is a touch of luxury and I would highly recommend staying, as you get the best of Bali… serenity but a walk away from the bustling streets. If we’re ever back in Bali, it’s definitely where we would stay again.

My partner and I visited Indonesia and Bali for the very first time in november 2023 and we loved our stay at La reserve. The staff is so friendly and the room is wonderful. We had a room with its own private plunge pool and ending the days with a dip was so cozy. The pool doesn't get that hot as it's not in direct sunlight, but still quite lovely. The breakfast is amazing and we really enjoyed it every morning. I actually loved it. Everything was so good. :) The absolute only downside is that it is not possible to have dinner here in the evening, but we solved that by going out to eat or having it driven home with grab. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to test the main pool or the massage, but we'll have to do that next time. I really recommend everyone to stay at this hotel because it is a great experience. We will definitely come back here in the future.

Great small boutique hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough to look after us and ultra efficient GM. A little off the beaten track but Grab taxis quickly available. If I had one criticism it was that the shower was poor for a new hotel - I had to run around to get wet. Otherwise I can really recommend it. Would stay again.

Ngurah and all the staff at La Reserve, were first class, respectful and polite, I cannot sing enough praises for this hotel, our room had everything you could wish for (there is usually one thing a miss in hotel rooms) but not at La Reserve, a delight to return to after being out in the busy streets of Canggu.

We absolutely loved everything about la reserve . The room design and furnishings were exactly to our taste . The service was seamless and gracious it was a true luxury boutique experience . Complementary afternoon tea was one area that could be more refined to match the excellence of the rest of the hotel . We would love to come Back .

I am actually a little reluctant to write a review for La Reserve because I want to selfishly keep it for myself. Kidding, life gets in the way after vacation and I can only post this review now - about a month later. First off, just some background.. we have stayed at many beautiful and great resorts in Bali and around the world eg: Amanoi, Amanpuri, Amandari in Ubud, Bvlgari Bali, Raffles Bali, Hoshinoya Bali, various Capella properties etc. Naturally, I have some reservations when my partner decided on staying at La Reserve to explore Canggu. "Why not a better hotel baby?" But of course, the missus is always right. And in many areas. The food and service were wonderful. Most staff are pleasant, sincere and cheerful. The GM, Mr Ngurah was very friendly, witty and insisted on us letting him know if there was anything unsatisfactory or if there's anything he could do for us. We appreciate such straight-forwardness and the attention to details. You could tell he's doing a good job and that this is a tightly run ship. One thing we love about La Reserve is that they allow us to rest fully before having a late breakfast and are amenable to off-menu requests like sliced avocado for breakfast. Food was VERY GOOD. Better than some of the popular cafes out there. And trust us, we had ate at many amazing places. In fact, we travel around the world to eat. We also love the buggy service that brings us to various popular dinner spots like Shelter etc. One time, we finished a massage nearby and the buggy came back and waited to fetch us to bring us to dinner just in case we couldn't find our way there. Such thoughtful service comes from the heart rather than duty. Room wise, the room is clean, fairly new and comfortable. It is small (well, it's not a villa) but we enjoyed the view of the pool and the greenery. If they can install a small, simple gym (treadmill + weights) to burn off all the delicious food, that will be even more wonderful! We are already planning our next trip back to La Reserve. In fact, I will plan a solo trip back if the missus can't make it! Just remember, the missus is always right :)

My wife and I stayed in La Reserve 1785 for our honeymoon. We had an incredible stay there, in all dimensions. 1) The hotel was extremely beautiful. It is integrated with outside nature, and when you walk to your rooms, you feel like you are in paradise due to the trees surrounding you. Also, the architecture of this hotel was so beautiful. We later learned that the owner of the hotel is an architect himself, which made it very clear. There is a different vibe in this hotel that I cannot tell verbally. It has a combination of Bali style and French style. 2) The rooms were so large, super clean, and designed very elegantly. You have everything you need in your rooms. Other facilities were also great. We had a pool view from our room, and we really enjoyed it from our balcony. It felt like we were in a paradise! It was a silent and peaceful stay as we expected. 3) The hotel's location is perfect. Right in the heart of Canggu, and they even offer a free shuttle to nearby spots. We used it to hit up the famous La Brisa Beach Club, and it was a blast! 4) The staff here are top-notch. Seriously, I've never seen a hotel go so far to make guests happy. Every single person on the staff worked hard and went above and beyond. And when my wife got sick on our last day, they were incredibly caring and helpful. The hotel manager and the whole crew were total pros. Bottom line, this hotel rocked, and if we ever come back to Bali, we're booking here again, no doubt. I'll be shouting their praises to all my friends planning their Bali honeymoon too!
