We spent two nights here and enjoyed the quiet serenity of this small luxury hotel. There were comfortable common areas --- the large back room parlor overlooking the garden fountain where we read in the morning and the front porch rocking chairs where we enjoyed the evening breezes. We had lunch in the Bar Louis one day. The menu was...

Quality. That is the first thought that came to mind at Hotel Fauchere as I walked in the front door to register and check in. The place was originally built in 1852. I am not sure of the full history thereafter, but somewhere along the way, the renovation(s) turned it into an elegant fortress. Nothing squeaks. The 160 year old...

Lovely respite situated in an attractive manicured picturesque town. Old world almost European Service. Greeted us warmly. Smiles throughout our stay. A kindly upgrade to a lovely corner pretty room with large comfortable porch made it all that much more appealing. Simple but classsic room with fine amenities and quality furnishings. Lovely original floors throughout - rather comfortable bed with...

Hotel Fauchere hosted Cori and I on the 3rd night of a 4 day motorcycling tour for RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring and Travel magazine. We were greeted with a glass of wine and hot towels (cannot describe how nice that was after hours in a helmet in the heat). Our helmets and jackets were taken to our room for us and...

This is a very pleasing small hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful every one. The decor is handsome and soothing, and they've done a lovely job with the restoration. The room price includes a high quality Continental breakfast served in an agreeable setting. The Fauchere is far above the standards for this region, and Milford has sufficient charms to...

I have been admiring this property for several years. I have eaten in bot restaurants and enjoyed the peaceful porch. This weekend I finally stayed overnight. I can see why the Hotel Fauchere has experienced such success and acclaim. The place is impeccable. The finishes are elegant was understated. I loved everything about my room; especially the bed. The staff...

This was out first stay at a Relaix & Chateaux hotel and we very much enjoyed our visit. The Hotel Fauchere was a beautiful, small hotel in great little town with a lot to do in the surrounding area. Charm is written all over the hotel, inside and out. Our room was small, with a European feel but the amenities...

We stayed at the Hotel Fauchere for one night--a lovely historic boutique hotel in a historic town. Our experience was top-of-the-line all the way, from our greeting with wine at check-in to an incredibly helpful history lesson and sightseeing recommendations as we checked out, to the hotel itself and its restaurants. It was exactly what I've come to expect from...

We just got back from a birthday get-away here this past weekend. Overall, a great little hotel. We stayed one night- not sure if there is enough to do in Milford for entire weekend. The spa next door stayed late so we could get massages. We had dinner in the Delmonico Room. It was wonderful but a little long. We...

Had the experience of spending a night in a restored old hotel in a nice smaller town. The welcome from staff was above board. The room while smaller was nicely kept, well lit and very clean. Old wide planks are exposed on the floor showing the age of the building. A modern bathroom with a comfortable bed made this a...

“We have stayed in this hotel on several occasions and decided to stay in the compact room (#1) to save money. It's really not much smaller than the standard/premium room. We were warned that this room was right over the bar kitchen. Fortunately we didn't hear any noise from the bar, unfortunately this room seems like it's right over the furnace or boiler room and a few times during the evening the furnace/boiler would come on and hum loudly for about 10-15 minutes. So be warned if you want to stay in this room. ”
