So we booked a room for 2 nights, we were there visiting family. As soon as we walked into lobby there was an overwhelming smell of Marijuana. We walked up to the desk and there was a sign posted that said, "Due to the overwhelming smell of weed, if we suspect you have smoked in your room you will be charged $150 on top of your room rate." So we wanted to check out our room first cause I wasn't smelling that my whole stay. They gave us the keys to a room and we get up there and so.eone is already in that room. We go back down to the front desk to tell him and he argues with us saying we went to the wrong room, even though he wrote the room number on the key holder. So he called the room and sure enough someone answered the phone. So front desk gave us another room. We checked it and it didn't smell of weed, but it wasn't the handicapped room we booked. The bathroom was super small, no tub and the sink was out in the bedroom. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.…
They are always very accomodating and nice to deal with. The only problem is the carpets appear to be dirty, maybe replace with vinyl or hardwood. They need more handicap rooms with grab bars near the toliet and walk in showers.
They except dogs, which I love, but not in my bedroom, carpets were pee stained and dirty! They should keep certain rooms for dogs only! I also kept finding little black bugs which I think were fleas!
We visit Johnstown annually and have always stayed at the Comfort Inn however we were unable to get reservations there even though we booked months in advance. Since both hotels are affiliated and are right beside each other, we assumed Sleep Inn to be comparable but we assumed wrong. The rooms are very small. We were given a handicapped room but neither of us are handicapped. I’m assuming we were given this room on the first floor even though we asked for a room with a “mountain view” because we requested a room with a refrigerator and microwave . They advertise a “Business Center” but the computer didn’t work so we couldn’t print out our airline boarding passes. They also advertise laundry facilities but you have to walk across a parking lot to use the facilities at the Comfort Inn. One morning I noticed the muffins had mold on them and I quietly spoke with the person in charge of the breakfast area who then replaced them. Needless to say, we didn’t eat breakfast there after that. The coffee was good though. The carpeting in our room felt dirty and our room had an odor to it. They allow pets so that may be the reason. Upon check out we were charged a $75 pet fee which they kindly removed after we told them we didn’t have any pets. Still, we should not have been charged a fee so make sure you check your final bill upon check out. This is not a hotel we will ever stay at again.…
Convenient location to shopping and restaurants. Friendly attentive staff. Good free breakfast. Good coffee available 24/7. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. We will consider staying here again next year.
