First issue was a car was parked in our spot beside our unit. The staff member confirmed our neighbour parked there as another car had taken his spot. We then got our allocated spot back. We were told no one knew who this random car belonged to. After hours security said they couldn't do anything about it tonight Second issue There was a wrong remote control for the TV and were told it would be sorted in the morning which isn't much help. Third issue the key fob can't be removed from the bracket on the wall. We were told to remove the key and leave the fob in the bracket
This is a lovely park in a nice spot near Yamba. I am reviewing in a negative light though, as they are so slack on their dog policy! Before you judge - I am a dog lover and owner, but I also know how to respect rules and other people. The Saltwater Big 4 website clearly states that dogs are to be on a lead at all times (see added screenshot from website). Dogs are also not allowed in the pool or kitchen area. During our five night camping stay, the people camping beside us, had their dog off lead the whole time. It constantly came into our camping area and tent setup and pooed a number of times beside my tent with the owners doing nothing. They took it into the waterpark, the kitchen, the toilets and everywhere they went! A complaint was lodged with the park staff and nothing was done. Other dogs were also observed off lead and in amenities with staff turning a blind eye. I would not return to this park, and would ask fellow dog owners to show respect to other campers and not only follow the rules but pick up your doggy do-do! Positive feedback is that the waterpark is great for kids and the amenities are modern and nice.…
This was an amazing caravan park! You can choose to pitch a tent, sleep in your caravan or book a cabin. I slept in a cabin and it was pretty good, just a little dust on the floor. It was a huge park with plenty of lovely nature and SO many activities. However the activities were booked for short time slots ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours. I stayed for half a day on a road trip and I burned through all of the activities in less ten 4 hours. This is how you should plan your time here; Day 1 : Land Activities. Day 2 : Lake Activities. Day 3 : Yamba Town. Day 4 : Yamba Beach. Do not stay here for more than 4 days because the kids will get bored and jump on devices. The activities were good value and there was even a small store in reception for everything you may have forgotten. I recommend bringing your own food because the store only provides bare necessities and the only two places that deliver are Pizza Hut which has bad pizza and takes far too long to deliver. Not to mention you will need to walk to reception to collect your pizza because they don't even deliver straight to your cabin. I must also point out that it is a 2 kilometre walk from some of the caravan spots closer to the river. The other place that delivers is overpriced Italian. It was great to stay there, everything was so entertaining and the staff were friendly. However the waterpark needs a paint job and there was cracked paint in the toddler slide. Totally stay here, just not for more than a school week.…
The amenities are amazing and always clean. The camping sites are huge with plenty of room for our big rig. The park was quiet, heaps of room to ride bikes and explore. Water park was sensational and having a place for parents to comfortably watch their children, amazing.
We had booked ahead for this stay because we wanted the few days before Easter and then as much of the Easter weekend we could get. As it turned out we could only get the four nights leaving on Saturday morning but we thought this was better than nothing. the lady we spoke to made every effort to fit us in so we were very grateful that she went to so much trouble. We drove around the park today and it has everything we need for an enjoyable stay. The park is very clean and tidy and the amenities look quite new and are well maintained. We paid extra for the Easter holidays but thought that was fair enough.
