I stayed here with my brother (58,56yo) on a Thursday night and it was great for our needs and the price. We had a family funeral to attend nearby and had driven up from Canberra after work so arrived about 8.30pm. The bar staff were friendly and checked us in and showed us to our room and the shared bathroom facilities. Although there was live music advertised and it was noisy in the bar we had no problem in our twin bed room (12) which was upstairs (there is also a lift) in the section that is labelled motel on the outside. Tea and coffee making supplies were provided including biscuits and there was a sink in the room. The TV was small, high up on the wall and missing it's remote but we managed with the chair to use the buttons on the side. There was also no airconditioning but the fan was on and windows open so no problem. There was two ladies bathrooms nearby, one was just a shower, sink and toilet, the other had 2 toilets and 3-4 shower stalls plus 2 handbasins, Would have been nice to have a shelf to put clothes on, it looked clean and fresh and had been updated. Soap and towels provided. Off street parking is also available although we just left our car on the street, visible from the window, which is 2hr parking from 8.30am-6pm. It's also close to the train station. Grassed area on the other side then across the road to the water and a jetty. Shout out to the ladies across the road in Big Boys Pizza who even turned the oven back on and cooked for us at 8.55pm before we realised they closed at 9pm. Sorry, I didn't take any photos.

Dissapointed. My wife had pulled pork fries which she couldn't eat pork was dry and scratched her throat.I had seafood platter oyster and prawns not fresh. We used to go for lunch . Won't go again. Also noticed they had cut back on their meal sizes . So did the people who bought there meals. Hopefully the new owners will rectify the problem the coast needs a decent place to eat.

We went to the Bistro here for the first time and we will definitely be going back. The food was great and drinks a pub prices. Although it was busy we didn’t have to wait long, they have plenty of staff. Choice of places to sit, outside ,inside ,upstairs. Enjoyable!

We had the cheaper room with shared bathroom . We knew it wouldn't be 5 star . The room was clean and bed comfortable. But a curtain or blind to close to give privacy would be much appreciated. I know that ourltside the window was just a wall and aurconditioners but also a couple of windows. We felt like we were in a fish bowl. As for the tv we didn't pack our binoculars so looking at the postage stamp on the wall was hard for two elderly people to watch. Having said that the staff were friendly and helpful but no we wouldn't stay there again.

This is one of the worst places I've visited. The manager Chris Mills was so rude. I would not recommend visiting or staying at this place. Overpriced food and under qualified staff. DO NOT VISIT and my god, the night people are worse

I didn’t get to see the inside of the room I’d booked at the Bayview. It was disappointing as this was the easiest place to stay for a family visit. The person booking me in, insisted he needed to take a copy of my license for their records! Oh, but that’s okay, he would tear it up the next day.

Even though he was able to identify me by the license photo, this continued insistence on taking a copy of my license (which along with my VISA card details can be used for quite a few scams on the internet), was enough to make me turn tails and RUN!

Note to Bayview Hotel, you don’t need to keep these details and note to visitors, be more aware of who has YOUR private information. I am a very seasoned traveller and this insistence on keeping a copy of your visitors license is highly IRREGULAR. What was okay, was leaving The Bayview, going to the Mantra at Ettalong and when booking in, simply producing the license for identification. No copy required, as is usual with accomodation. Very professional.

Stayed one night on Saturday in February 2016 in private bathroom double room. Unable to lock the door from the inside, two venues with loud bands and unable to close the bathroom windows to block the noise.
Staff were not friendly, extremely rude that I checked in late even though I called in the morning to confirm my check in time would be about 22:30.
I asked where to check out in the morning and the staff advised where I checked in at the bottle shop.. at 7:30am that area was locked and no one was available.
I did not feel safe as I could not lock the door and would not stay here again.

I stayed in the shared bathroom twin bed room. The pricing per night was ok, the room had been refurbished and looked neat and clean.
However when I came back later that night there was a cockroach running on the bed. As I looked around the room there were many baby cockroaches on the walls, floor edging and even in the fridge. I have stayed in 3rd world countries and have never come across this before. disgusting.
Apart from that it's a great location near the train station and close to the bay.

We enjoyed our stay here, things were very clean and space was good. Didn't hear any noise
at night even though we were there Saturday/Sunday nights. Would stay here again. Spare linen
provided is also a plus. Maybe bed could be updated.

Woy Woy is on Sydney to Newcastle line and trains run very regularly from Sydney Central. You can go straight from the airport to Sydney Central by train.
