My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in a lovely room which faced a pond and had views over the golf course. The room was spacious and contained 2 beds - a queen and a single. The bathroom was very clean and included the disabled facilities we had requested. Entry to the room was made very convenient by a ramp from the car parking spot. Breakfast was available (we made our own) and the room contained a kettle, toaster and microwave. There was good wall mounted cooling/heating. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Other meals could be taken at the golf club and were very reasonably priced.

A lovely experience. Pristine cleanliness, quiet, comfortable room with all of the basics. Friendly and helpful management and staff going above and beyond. Special shout out to Brendan, who even took the time to fit a tarp on our Ute and clean a problem windscreen. Lovely meal at the Golf Course Bistro and 9 holes of golf for my son on the attached course early in the morning. Do yourself a favour and enjoy the special Aussie hospitality that only country folk can provide.

Last minute stay. Room comfortable and although mine had no outlook, many do over the golf course. The room was a reasonable size (was only the single room), clean and all custom accessories there- including microwave. Restaurant was not open when I was there. Would stay again, particularly if trying the golf course

Liked - A very nice modern motel where we stayed for two nights (Christmas eve and Christmas night). The room was a good size with great beds and decor plus a nice bathroom stocked with toiletries. Our room overlooked a small lake and the golf course. Very pleasant surroundings. The parking space outside each room was very wide which meant there was little chance of vehicles being damaged.
Disliked - I was advised on arrival that breakfast would not be served on Christmas morning which I could have handled if they had arranged a continental basket for the 4 or 6 rooms which were occupied. I thought that was the least they could have done. The supply of packet coffee and tea was also very uninspiring. There was a toaster but no knives or forks which presumably come with the breakfast tray but there was no breakfast and the town centre was about 2-3 kilometres away.

Booking was only made late ..after 9:30pm when a lot of motels/hotels have closed for the day. It was unplanned due to caravan problems. We received a welcome text plus full details promptly & checked in effortlessly some hours later. Because of our late checkin our checkout time extended to 12:00 instead of 10:00 as per usual. The room was spacious, very comfortable, pet friendly (which we loved & which is not always available), ample parking, beautiful grounds & surrounds, & the staff. Not only efficient but very friendly

We booked a night in a queen room on New year's day. We emailed direct and the hotel responded immediately confirming our booking of the last available room. The golf course setting is relaxing and we enjoyed a lovely meal in the club house bistro on the deck overlooking the course. Rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed and management left fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. We were also fortunate to have been allowed to stay with our pet dog by prior arrangement and were made to feel very welcome. Can't speak highly enough of the management team and the facilities and we will definitely return when travelling north.

What a surprise. In a quiet little town near Taree on the central coast of NSW is a great motel. The Golf Club Motor Inn is on of htose hidden gems that you come accross every now and then. The room was fabulous, clea tidy and spacious. It was bright and airy with all the facilities required for a short or lengthy stay. The view from the room was fantastic from the greens of the golf course to the ambient country side and the closeness of the pond just outside of the room the motel is well positioned to be close to the town centre yet have a countryside feeling. All in all it is a greatplace to stay

Previous visits have been great. The new owners A K & Maria have continued the trend. They handled our postponed booking from the previous owners with the same professionalism. Their help with our group booking which changed constantly and their assistance in liaising with the golf club for dinner was greatly appreciated. The mass catering required for breakfast the following morning also went without a hitch. Thanks again A K & Maria. Brian & Margaret

Check in staff are great, cleaning staff need a few lessons, mostly in the bathroom area. The bathroom floor was sticky and the tile grout dirty, dead flies on the window sill were never cleaned off, the bin lid was filthy and not emptied, nor was the one in the main room. Other than that it was good. A bit of noise from the trains but nothing tragic, nice outlook and the car park was always spotless. Beds and linen were good. Curiously there was a microwave and toaster but no cutlery or plates. One the whole I think it's somewhat over priced for a rural town motel.

New management have invested heavily in this well located motel forming part of a nice golf club. Golf club facilities are a real bonus. Breakfast is on time and good value. Would recommend Most rooms have been refitted tastefully and bed linen very new and well laundered.

"Large parking bays outside your door. Game of golf and sneaky bevies at the end of your game. Service station close by. A lovely lake to watch bird life."
