Firstly, this is the first time i've written a review, and feel quite apprehensive in doing so. My experience was so unexceptable, the least I can do is leave a bad and honest review. I booked (and had had confirmed) two nights accomodation, of which I never made it through the front door - so I cannot comment on details...

Let me start by saying that Jackie at the Guesthouse went out of her way to look after us over the weekend, while busy with a full house. She is a brilliant cook! Maitland Cottage - quite lovely with a very large main room, ensuite bathroom and kitchenette - Four Windows open with fly screens which was very pleasant of...

We stayed for one night at the Bank - our room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. The air conditioning was a life saver. Wifi did not work!!!! Unable to have a meal in the Vault as it was closed and is only open of a weekend but there was a pub on the corner and the food...

Stayed one night at the guest house. The room was clean and comfortable and Leonie was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and this was very disappointing. I would avoid a front room on a Saturday night, lots of noise from the Pub as people left and a big loud brawl at 2 in the morning. Hopefully...

I love an open fireplace and here I didn't get to start it but I thoroughly enjoyed stoking the fire into a roaring warming blaze. With shiraz in hand on a cold night there is nothing better. Leonie the owner is meticulously attentive to all your needs. We stayed a Tuesday night when unfortunately the Vault Restaurant was closed but...

Stayed 2 nights in the Garden Room. Very private, nice and comfortable. The Vault Restaurant in the front of the old Bank was superb, great service and food. Housekeeping not up to previous standard though!

We needed a place to break our journey from the Southern Highlands to Tweed Heads and found this place a shot drive west of Taree. It is a beautiful, heritage building which has been tastefully restored. Downstairs at the front is a terrific restaurant with linen table cloths, great food at reasonable prices and some very dedicated young wait staff...

We stayed one night in the family room - which is very nice as not only is it tastefully furnished but the 2- way bathroom separates parents from kids. Beds were comfy and staff friendly and efficient. We had a lovely dinner - very reasonably priced - in the restaurant and enjoyed some Orange wine. Breakfast consisted of a comprehensive...

After a hard time checking in (no one was there), I was beginning to regret my decision to stay here, but when we finally got in with an apologetic complementary beer my first impressions killed the negative mood I was in. Lovely old bank converted so well, full of antiques and memorabilia. We had the whole place to ourselves, comfortable...

This is a great concept, guesthouse in an old bank. The place offers rooms inside and a stand alone cottage. I booked the cottage 6 weeks prior and had confirmation. The day before I get a call saying that cottage wasn't available but they have something similar. The something similar was upstairs in the "old bank". Room and furnishings were...

Hi David. My sincerest apologies on the room change disappointment. If you had mentioned the hip replacement we certainly would have kept you in the cottage out the back. The two external cottages allow for patrons with pets, and given you did not have a pet we told people enquiring that we would ask if a room swap was ok....
