On arrival I was checked in, in the bar and quickly in my room. When I saw the old staircase and old carpet, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Royal Hotel is in the middle of the main street and there's ample parking out front.

My room was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable and had good linen. The room had high ceilings with beautiful, pressed metal. The bathroom was accessed via a short private corridor, which also gave me access to the back balcony. The bathroom was modern and spacious, but unfortunately, I could smell sewerage (hopefully this problem has been rectified as I messaged them about it). The front balcony is a lovely place to sit overlooking the main street.

I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, accessed through the beautiful historic bar. The restaurant features beautiful, pressed metal ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The meal was tasty, well priced and the service excellent.

If you are after a little old world charm and nice rooms, The Royal maybe for you!

We stayed as a family group in a king room, queen room and a single room, for one night in January.

The king room and queen room were really nice. They had everything you could want and were clean and comfortable. We liked the decor, the air conditioning, the nice bathrooms and the convenient little touches like the pod coffee machine, toaster and small fridge that helped make our trip easy and enjoyable.

The single room had a shared bathroom, and was small and basic but clean.

We had dinner downstairs in the restaurant with a group of about 20. All the meals were great.

The hotel was in a great central location on the main street. Across the road to the rear was the grocery store, and there were at least 3 parks/ playgrounds that we found within 5 mins walk.

We enjoyed our stay… thank you.

The Royal Hotel is beautiful old pub that looks like it's currently undergoing a progressive renovation.
Our room was a King Bedroom which was located at the rear of the building and thus very quiet due to the absence of traffic noise. The room was very spacious, and looks like it was formed through the combination of 2 smaller rooms. The bathroom looked brand new and was of a very contemporary style. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There were some minor details that indicated that more work would be necessary to complete the renovation, but these were incidental to the experience.
Unfortunately, we stayed over the Easter weekend, and as a result both the bar and restaurant were closed. Both of these looked very stylish and the restaurant has a good reputation.
Once all the renovations are complete, the Royal Hotel will be a really stylish place to stay in this part of NSW.

If you don’t have dinner here you’ll miss one of the best meals you can enjoy, in regional NSW at least…..especially if you order the crumbed lamb cutlets or the rack of lamb (in my experience)!
I travel all over Australia hosting guests from all walks of life and would happily take any of them there for a meal! I was so impressed I asked to meet the chef & Sheeba obliged graciously!

we enjoyed visiting the Royal Hotel which was both quaint and served up tasty meals. The rump was soft and full of flavour although would pass on the barramundi and chips as the batter was too overwhelming. We would happily come again if in the region.

The Royal Hotel Wyalong offers a standard of accommodation and dining that is way more than you'd expect to find in a small country town in central NSW. The recent period fit-out of this Victorian-era hotel has combined the vintage ambience of the bar and dining area with the sleek minimalism of the queen suite's shades of grey to create a very comfortable and welcoming environment. The dinner menu is excellent and reasonably priced and our choices were perfectly cooked.

Just had one night in West Wyalong so we decided to have dinner at the Royal Hotel.
Ordered Chicken Parmigiana which looked good but when started eating it was very tough as it was overcooked.
Staff were pleasant service was good.

This was an unplanned emergency roadtrip...on our return journey from Brizzy we came across this gem....honest food, well balanced menu. (not trying to compete with having a massive selection) price very reasonable. Lovey vibe from the staff. Beautiful old character building was inviting. Highly recommend to stay for a leisurely dinner, it was to be brutally honest, fabulous 👌 well done. (Sorry the pic was taken half eaten)

Blown away by the beautiful boutique rooms which are very stylish, seems to be recently renovated. The bar and dining is really tasteful, perfect balance of the pub culture but also with sophistication. Warm and welcoming with a fire place, friendly staff and passionate owners. Would make this may local and for staycations if I wasn't just passing through. Highly recommend.

At the time we were there they did not have any accommodation, they were going to in the future. As for parking I don't there would be room for a boat of that size.
