My room was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable and had good linen. The room had high ceilings with beautiful, pressed metal. The bathroom was accessed via a short private corridor, which also gave me access to the back balcony. The bathroom was modern and spacious, but unfortunately, I could smell sewerage (hopefully this problem has been rectified as I messaged them about it). The front balcony is a lovely place to sit overlooking the main street.
I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, accessed through the beautiful historic bar. The restaurant features beautiful, pressed metal ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The meal was tasty, well priced and the service excellent.
If you are after a little old world charm and nice rooms, The Royal maybe for you!
The king room and queen room were really nice. They had everything you could want and were clean and comfortable. We liked the decor, the air conditioning, the nice bathrooms and the convenient little touches like the pod coffee machine, toaster and small fridge that helped make our trip easy and enjoyable.
The single room had a shared bathroom, and was small and basic but clean.
We had dinner downstairs in the restaurant with a group of about 20. All the meals were great.
The hotel was in a great central location on the main street. Across the road to the rear was the grocery store, and there were at least 3 parks/ playgrounds that we found within 5 mins walk.
We enjoyed our stay… thank you.

Our room was a King Bedroom which was located at the rear of the building and thus very quiet due to the absence of traffic noise. The room was very spacious, and looks like it was formed through the combination of 2 smaller rooms. The bathroom looked brand new and was of a very contemporary style. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There were some minor details that indicated that more work would be necessary to complete the renovation, but these were incidental to the experience.
Unfortunately, we stayed over the Easter weekend, and as a result both the bar and restaurant were closed. Both of these looked very stylish and the restaurant has a good reputation.
Once all the renovations are complete, the Royal Hotel will be a really stylish place to stay in this part of NSW.
I travel all over Australia hosting guests from all walks of life and would happily take any of them there for a meal! I was so impressed I asked to meet the chef & Sheeba obliged graciously!

Ordered Chicken Parmigiana which looked good but when started eating it was very tough as it was overcooked.
Staff were pleasant service was good.
Nice dining room

"The best parking is probably on the Main Street at the front of the hotel, which is well lit and cctv."Read full review
