Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tired, old & overpriced at $130 for a double. So old, that the shower is a little room with a wooden door! However, the bed was very comfortable & warm. At best, this would probably be an $80 motel, but the whole of WW was booked out, so we had no choice.

About all I can say is the room was clean - motel itself very outdated. Charging over $100 for night stay and only 1 roll of toilet paper - no soap or shampoo. No tissues. No clock - no introduction manual as you find in most motels. Had to ask to borrow an iron - these usually come in most motel rooms. Wooden door on the shower - needed attention as bottom was warping from water damage. Usually most motels have a paper seal on the toilet to say it has been hygenically cleaned - not so at this motel. Definately overpriced in comparison to ones closer to town. Chose to stay here as it was close to the venue we were attending.

This will be a mixed review with positive and negative, but I would be happy to stay here again. Positive: 1. Friendly helpful staff. 2. Clean well maintained facilities. 3. Comfortable bed. Negative: 1. Overpriced for the age and facilities. 2. No soap or shampoo for washing.

Great place to stay. Was just like staying with family. Nothing was too much trouble. Most comfortable bed ever, and best shower I have ever had in a motel. Will be returning to stay whenever in the area.

What a little gem to find! After a 7hr drive to be able to find a little motel who appreciate the fact that fur babies matter my Ollie cat thanks you. The bed is so comfy I may have trouble getting out of it, the room is clean and tidy and the take away from across the road just great. Thanks David & Wendy you have made two very weary travelers happy and relaxed.

On our way interstate to visit family. Weary after a long day of travelling and needed somewhere we could stay with the dog. Great staff and service, clean rooms and safe area. Fairly central to town too.

Pet friendly place which is the only reason we stayed there for the night. The rooms do have all the amenities needed but everything is old and run down. Tidy but smelly carpet and shower. Not a lot of choice in west Wyalong, next time we will plan our trip differently to avoid having to stop in this town.

Response from nanango153, Manager at Top Town Motel
Responded 31 Dec 2015
I'm sorry your room was "smelly". The carpets had only been cleaned that day and as was explained to you when you arrived that was the only pet room we had left as you had not booked ahead. We do the best we can to accommodate people from other motels so that they have somewhere with their pet.
