Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have lodged in to the Acacia Golden Way Motel in West Wyalong, NSW, for the night, Thursday, 18 March. Some may have read my review of my accommodations in Moree, NSW, for last night, 17 March! There is absolutely no comparison. Whereas the “Spa” accommodation was very Spartan and well over priced - the Acacia Golden Way Motel here in West Wyalong, is absolutely superb and well fulfils every need for a weary traveler. At 75, I’ve done a bit of travelling and stayed in lots of motels all over Australia, and this one is up there with the best, at a very reasonable price - especially for those on a limited budget! All the amenities are in good order and work as you’d expect, while the beds and facilities are very inviting - while always the best is the warm welcome from the owners. If you are travelling the Newell Highway, be sure to spend some time at the Acacia Golden Way Motel, West Wyalong! Like me - you’ll be glad you did!

We stayed in room 15 which is at the back of the motel and has a full kitchen, dining table, lounge room, bedroom and ensuite! Wow - what good value and lovely to be able to self-cater. We booked by calling directly - really helpful staff.

Nice motel with friendly owner and inexpensive room rates. Good location just out of the main strip but within walking distance of shops. Rooms are clean and all amenities worked well including wifi and aircon.

there's no better place. We arrived tired and hot after a days travel and the manager/owner went out of his way to make sure my son's special needs were catered for. We spent a reasonable amount of money for accomodation that was both comfortable and cool. Loved the lounge and kitchen and bedroom but not the sofa bed so much. However despite this the overall experience was wonderful and we left the next day ready to do a full day's travel.

We were passing through on our way back to Queensland and looking for a room for the night. Chose this Motel and we were very glad we did. Met by a very helpful and friendly Peter on the desk who offered us a choice of a front room which he explained could be a little noisy in the morning as workmen left early or a back room which was a little more expensive but quieter. We chose the back room which was great. A separate bedroom with a TV, a bathroom with toiletries and a combined kitchenette, dining room and lounge with another TV. All very clean and comfortable including the bed. Peter also gave us good advice about where to eat. When we were on the road we received a phone call from Peter to tell us we had left a small electronic crossword solver in the room We asked if it could be posted C.O.D to our home address which was agreed to. It arrived a few days later through the normal post, not C.O.D.To us this just reinforced our view of the great experience of staying in this Motel. Thank you Peter and Denise.

Stayed here for 4 nights. I was fortunate enough to be placed in the back, single level rooms. Rooms were very neat and tidy. Had separate kitchen area with dining area in same room as the lounges. Separate bedroom with queen bed. Off bedroom was separate bathroom room. To say the least I was very impressed with comfort level of bed. Also I could not hear tv in adjoining room. Had under cover verandah at the front with parking for 2 cars. Only a 3 minute walk to the nearest hotel. A bonus, the owner will organise a Hire Car at the airport if you are flying into town for business. Overall great value for money. A must try if staying in town. However I would suggest asking to stay in the back rooms.

We certainly found a fabulous place to stay. The best air-con in any venue we have stayed on this trip. A full apartment, great kitchen, excellent bathroom, extra TV in the bedroom, comfy lounge. What more could you want.

Having spent $70 for a very ordinary motel room in another location the previous night, I was surprised when the nice Man at the desk told me that their rate for a single was $75.00 - and what a surprise. The room was clean, welcoming, had a double and a single bed, good quality toiletries, a microwave , large TV and two comfortable chairs - except for the microwave this was a complete turnaround from the previous night!!! I was supplied a small carton of milk for my tea and the code for the free wi fi, given a quick guide to the eateries around town and shown their large parking area all without asking. The noise from the highway was negligible and the policy of having guests cars parked nose in also circumvented a lot of early morning noise (other motels please take note) All in all a very comfortable and satisfying overnight I would have to say this was great value and I would recommend this property to any travellers

A single room with a double and a single bed for one person cost $75...you can't go wrong. The breakfast menu ticked all the boxes and was as cheap as chips!! A short walk to the shops and eateries. The manager, Peter, was keen to have a chat and a laugh!! The rooms in very good condition and bed cosy.
