On arrival the guy at the desk said, which room would I like and gave me two options.
On arrival into my chosen room it looked dirty, smells musty, mould on walls in the bathroom, no mattress protectors, and when I asked for one, I was given a stained one. HIs comment, "its looks dirty but is clean". A real gem!!!!!!!!!!

Budget priced room with an outdated style. Parking was good. It is a mining town and this motel is on one of Australia's busiest highways.
Bed was very comfortable. Shower had good water pressure. Room was clean. 5 minute walk to a nice club or the main street. Gave us some where comfortable clean and cheap to crash. Fulfilled our needs well. Would stay again

Older accommodation but everything you need. Shower was large & great water pressure. Bed comfy. Price was competitive at $70.00. Aircon ok. Iron & board.
Located just before you get into town. Would stay again.

I opened the door to the room and was hit by the thick air of some kind of deodorising agent. I turned on the air conditioner to blow air through the room with the door open, even though it meant insects would come into the room. My throat would not have lasted an hour if I hadn't done this. It's disgusting that motel operators think that putting chemicals into the air and onto the carpets and furniture (which is what you do when you spray the deodorisers) is of some good purpose.
I have, in fact, developed a sensitivity to these chemicals because I regularly stayed in motels which used them.
What else?
I had decided to have some cold meat on toast for dinner and got out the toaster. It didn't work, I tried everything, but no action. I went and roused the manager, he insisted that the toaster (which he hadn't seen or touched) would work. Eventually he walked to the room and tried it. First he pulled my piece of bread out. Later he was to put two slices in to try it again. After he'd had a bit of time handling my food he accepted that it didn't work and got another one for me. And put my bread into it.
If people in sandwich shops have to wear plastic gloves, how come he came from whatever he was doing and used his bare hands to handle my bread?
I'm never hard on motels. I take a lot of my own stuff with me. I use my own coffee, milk, toilet paper, cutlery, cup, plate etc.
And this place?
Well, tonight I'll be sleeping outside the room in my car to avoid the atmosphere which is working to destroy my throat. That's not too hard as there's a bed set up in the back of it. I'll come back into the room in the morning to get my breakfast and then I'll be out of here as quickly as I can be.

We booked for almost 2months at this motel and we had a bad experience as a guest.
Firstly we were overcharged compared to the intial prices on the website, secondly one room has a double bed and a single bed that sleeps 3people but the India Resort Manager said that it only sleeps 2 people.
We opened one of room at 12am whilst we were in the room to falsely check for aircon problem in which we never complained about it or at least waited for the morning to come check.
We stayed for almost two month and they only came to change our beddings upon our request. The owner or the manager is very unprofessional.
I used to manage a resort and I tell you, this motel is by far the worse motel in Australia.
Whilst my co-worker was in the bathroom and I was having my tea in the room, he opens the room and ask for me to step outside so he could vacuum the room at 6pm and I told him this is not the time to clean when your guest are in the room, he took his vacuum and walked outside.
I highly recommend that you book else where and not this motel. Their were bedbugs and everything is by far outdated.
We booked in Temora due to all hotels were booked at West Wylong and so far it's the best decision to moved out of that filthy, dirty and unprofessional motel.

Easy to find, within easy walking distance of the town centre, and with convenient parking next to each room.
Quick and friendly check-in, basic but comfortable room, effective and quiet air con. All the basics are available to keep your stuff cool, and to cook/heat your own food if you wish.
The sound insulation must be pretty good - we were not disturbed despite adjacent occupants having arrived and left as we slept
Free Wi-Fi is available and the town is on 5G, so communications are good.
Excellent value for the rate we paid.

Had car accident before book in and needed to cancel booking. Owner didn’t care one bit and wouldn’t/ refused to refund booking charged full amount. Became aggressive and threatening. Worst experience ever had. Stay away from this motel. Appalling service.

Booked through wotif and owner cancelled the booking because they gave us a discount. Didn't find this out until we arrived... after driving all day we were too tired to find something else so paid an inflated price for a room. Room was mediocre, bathroom dingy and moldy. Owner rude. Night/ weekend staff were nice.

Although the room looked clean, the smell indicated it most definitely was not. There was a damp musty smell in the room when we first entered, that we put down to being closed and unused for too long. When we returned after dinner the smell was so much worse, and now clearly was sewerage. I feel sick just recounting this as the smell of sewerage was nauseating and worsened through the night to the point were we were gagging so badly we had to leave. I absolutely would NOT recommend this awful place.

Hi Debra,
To tell you the truth, you have been saved by the owner being rude.
The motel is a disgrace.
Some rooms look worse than others, yet that is only furnishings.
The rooms are not cleaned correctly.
In face when I stayed there I had pubic hairs in my bed and complained. She basically told me to F off and I had a young child with me.
I spoke to someone whilst at the motel and they told me she just pulls the sheets back up and makes the bed again. I couldn’t believe it. So I watched her do the rooms before we left - no dirty sheets where removed when she went to clean and she only took a chic wipe into the room.
As you know some people don’t notice these things, dirt, hair, dust, etc but I do.
I have made my own review a couple of years ago when I stayed and have posted pictures.
Your husband had every right to question the room. It’s her guilt that caused the reaction.
