Have eaten here many times and used to love it, but the last two times service has been ridiculously slow. Tonight it took over 50 min for two salads and when they did arrive some of my ingredients were missing. There appeared to be plenty of staff and the resteraunt was not that busy (no where near at capacity). We were travelling through and won't be stopping again.

First visit to Wellington. Steak dinner for two friends. Brilliant meals (steak menu is terrific) and the staff were great. I would definitely return on any future trip to Wellington. Next time will explore the desert and cake cabinet.

Great pub meal, service was excellent and friendly. The meal was great, Chicken Schnitzel was hand crumbed and the lamb chops were cooked in lime all cooked to perfection. The service staff was super friendly and efficient. Prices were great.

Recently had a company Christmas party here. DONT BOTHER. Rude bar staff, rude restaurant manager. Food not good. Preordered but didn’t provide the orders that were supplied. Save yourself a trip. Don’t go here.

Had dinner with my husband. His meal was nice but I was dissatisfied with mine. Chicken snitzel that was tasteless and the mash potato was horrible. Not many choices on the menu. No vegan or vegetarian except for salads.

The rooms and shared bathrooms are clean and renovated. It’s better than your average pub although without the charm. You need to like air conditioning as the windows are nailed shut. The hotel staff would not accommodate a few simple requests for some extra blankets or a second room key - necessary to gain access to the accommodation wing as well as the room. Eventually the owner agreed to provide some extra linen but not until later that evening when it suited her to turn up. Not the usual country hospitality. Not even going to attempt ordering a meal here, luckily it looks like there are other choices in town.

Was looking forward to our stay but the accommodation was not up to scratch. The room was dirty with rubbish from previous guests left under the bed. TV in room was broken and bedside lamp was without a globe. Carpet in room was filthy and bathrooms looked like they had not been cleaned for sometime. We were kept awake at night by the rats in the roof space. We left early the following morning and were glad we did....not somewhere I would recommend stay.

Our large group was originally booked into the pub at Yeoval - double booked and did us a favour as we ended up at The Cow & Calf Hotel. Wow, very modern, clean and well appointed. Lovely dinner, friendly staff and locals. We will be staying again and miss Yeoval all together - well worth the extra 50km.
