Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We only stayed for 1 night but will definitely stay here next time we come back.
Friendly greetings on arrival, pet friendly, big open spaces for the kids and pets to run around and good accommodation size lots.
Camp kitchen has access to slow cooker, sandwich grill, microwave, kettle, stove top, BBQ facilities and plenty of utensils if you need them.
Pit fire near the camp kitchen is big enough for families and friends to mingle and relax around.
Amenities are clean and well taken care of.

My fiancé and I had decided to stay the two nights at Riverside Caravan Park and it was the best decision we had made. For us currently doing a road trip through the inland of NSW, there is nothing better than being welcomed by such lovely and down to earth owners. Donna and Greg checked in on us every morning with always a friendly ‘good morning’ and most importantly, just a nice, simple chat. Our powered site was very efficient and we had the amazing view of the river, however the river had taken 2 of our brand new fresh water lures! Ahhh well, you live to learn :)

The caravan park is kept amazingly maintained by Donna and Greg themselves, amenities were spotless and loved how the bathrooms had the local radio going, because there is nothing worse than silence in a shared bathroom!

My fiancé and I proudly recommend Wellington Riverside Caravan Park, you won’t regret it!

Cabin has some age on it. Cabin was neat & clean & spacious. The bed was comfortable. The only downside was that the WIFI signal is very weak & basically useless. The managers were friendly & helpful. I had a beautiful King parrot land on the balcony rail while I was enjoying the view of the river frontage

This is a relatively small park right on the McKenzie river. All sites are powered and are well grassed. They are not drive through but easy to back into with a van and stay hitched if that’s what you want to do. The camp kitchen is well provisioned, very clean and there’s also a large firepit and wood supplied. There are also cabins and en-suite. I was only there for one night but it’s obvious there are people there for longer periods, though there don’t seem to be any permanents. It’s only about a 1km easy walk to town. Very, very reasonable rates!! I’d certainly stay again.

Situated on the Macquarie river, this park has sites and cabins that overlook the waterway. The managers are friendly, very proactive and helpful. The grounds and amenities are a credit to them. The camp kitchen is spotless and well stocked with all of the necessary items. A wonderful place to stay.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Camp kitchen and toilet/showers were impeccably clean and well maintained. As a solo female traveller in a swag I felt very safe. Dog friendly. I stayed on NYE and they even put on a free COVID-safe nibbles and sausage sizzle which was a good time!

Fabulous place to stop. Decided to stay longer than we planed. Beautiful grass site looking over the river. The park managers could not have been more friendly or helpful. The amenities were older but extremely clean and well looked after. We absolutely will come again. Highly recommended!

I've travelled to a lot of caravan parks and this is a 5 star rating for this facility. Absolutely brilliant. The hosts were incredible and couldn't do enough for you. The grounds and amenities are first class and what an incredibly picturesque view. Would absolutely recommend.

Exelent grassed flat area overlooking the Macquarie River. Hosts were good for a yarn and update on what's on round the area. The camp kitchen is well equipped and clean. The communal fire pit was a big hit for travel stories over a glass of wine. Ample wood was provided by a council worker staying at the park. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Beautiful park, well maintained even with all the torrential rain in this part of Australia. Not able to park on grassed areas as it is too wet. Suited us to have a nice easy drive through site and no mud.
Managers were super friendly and helpful but not in your face. All facilities to hook up to are in excellent working order.
Laundry and ablutions spotless. Plenty of Covid Safe practices are in place. Donna has plenty of change on hand for laundry which is great. Great looking camp kitchen, fire pit and plenty of picnic tables scattered throughout park.
They came around a few times to check on us which is super nice.

The grassed areas dried up on the second day and we were given the option to mov e. We declined but it woulda been nice to be on the rivers edge in the grass.

Reckon it would be busy in peak season. Would definitely come back to Wellington and stay for longer here.

Thanks very much for the experience, the bar has been set high for other caravan parks.
