Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent place to stay, lovely and clean, beds comfortable. Late check in so easy. Close to a gorgeous little town and great meals, supermarket so close. Will recommend to friends and will be back to stay again.

This place is overpriced, No place to get breakfast. Although the rooms are allegedly non-smoking, the smell in the rooms and corridors is dank, musty and caused allergy problems with me. Blank space.

After a long day it was lovely to arrive at the Timbertown Motel and find adequate parking close to the room, meaning the persistent rain was only a minor problem. After hours check in was equally easy with thw room key in a box and the code to me via SMS The room was large and very clean, with good facilities, particularly the bathroom was spotless and gleaming. If I had a criticism it is that a toaster is not included, meanig breakfast was just bread and vegemite instead of toast, but it had everything else, good amenities pack and a comfy chair. Will be back next time through

We were traveling from Byron Bay to Central Coast towing a caravan & broke down. NRMA put us up in this motel for the night. Check in a breeze (automated self serve). At last minute given a late check out as catching XPT which didn’t leave till 1.20pm. Jo- Ann the manager was amazing & so obliging, the most kind & friendly experience we have ever had. Would definitely come back, hopefully under better circumstances.

Nice surprise that we had been upgraded to a 1 bedroom Cabin with separate Kitchen & Bathroom so it was very spacious. The cabin was clean & tidy with enough utensils to have a “home cooked meals”. The owners were a delight & happy to have a chat as they had great local knowledge.

Stayed here overnight before visiting Timbertown. Room was a Queen Twin, very spacious, clean and nicely renovated. Friendly staff, reasonable rates, comfy bed and an easy walk to Bago Tavern for dinner.

Clean comfortable rooms. The room I stayed appears to have been the office transformed into a room. Tiled floor right through Spacious bedroom and kitchenette area. Sink in bathroom didn't empty and no plug found. Wifi worked fine for me. Was a little noisy from local car traffic but couldn't hear when tv on. Pricing ok. Staff ok

Wow what a disappointment from the minute we walked in the room. NO WIFI - Wifi didn’t work or even register AT ALL on ANY devices. Mould in the dirty microwave. Curtains hanging off. Dust, dirt & filth everywhere. The room was tired, daggy and more importantly DIRTY. Sack your cleaner! See photos that speak louder than I. We WONT be back. Over priced.

We stayed for one night only in a king motel room. We were arriving late but contact and check in were very easy. The room was spacious & the bed was very comfortable. However there was only a kettle and coffee facilities — no microwave or toaster. The on-site restaurant was closed & unfortunately it seemed we even missed breakfast orders. There were facilities close by — but it had been a long drive ,it was dark & raining & Good Friday — the area was unfamiliar to us Also the out door table area near the pool was where smoking was allowed (? ) We did get a good sleep in a comfortable bed and enjoyed a hot shower— howerever a full light mirror would have been good. The motel was in a great location ; which became more apparent in daylight.
