Situated along the Bellinger and Kalang Rivers, Urunga Holiday Centre offers 2-bedroom, self-contained apartments with access to a variety of shared facilities, including a children's playground, trampolines and picnic areas with electric BBQ facilities. Free WiFi is offered. The Holiday Centre is an 18-minute drive from Bellingen Valley, a 23-minute drive from Nambucca and a 43-minute drive from Dorrigo. It is a 23-minute drive from Coffs Harbour. Each apartment at Urunga Holiday Centre features air-conditioning, heating and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, refrigerator, stove top, microwave, toaster and kitchenware. A tumble dryer, iron, washing machine, DVD player, TV and a patio with outdoor furniture are provided. Guests can venture opposite to the Urunga Golf and Sports Club for a meal or to play golf, square, croquet, and tennis. Riverside Holiday Resort, won GOLD at the 2021 NSW Tourism Awards for the 3rd year in a row, and entered the ‘Hall of Fame' for the "Self-Contained Accommodation" category. We LOVED our stay at Riverside Holiday Resort. The unit was spacious and private, and beautifully furnished, and although we were late to the party and couldn't nab a river view, we did get views of the incredible mountains over the golf course so were extremely happy. The kids loved the pool and the trampolines, and I was wishing we had more time to use the kayaks on the river which is literally right across the street! The location was PRIME. Quick walk to the Lido swimming spot and boardwalk, and to the supermarket and eateries in town. The pub in town is fantastic. We will certainly be back! And we are also keen to check out their other resorts at Fingal Bay and Sussex Inlet next time we get a chance to get away.

Riverside Resort Urunga is the best place to stay on the Coffs Coast, Riverside Resort have, fully self contained units and it's an easy walk to Shops, River and Beach, also is only a 20 minute drive to many places including Sawtell, Coffs Harbour, Nambucca Heads and Bellingen. If you want a perfect holiday with Beautiful accommodation and Friendly, Helpful, Staff, this is the place to stay, PS also a Golf Course, Tennis Courts, Pool, Fishing, Restaurants and more at your door step, just talking about Urunga. I can't wait for our next Family holiday

First of all you need to know Urunga is a little community at the mouth of the Kalang river, which puts it about a 20 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) to the beach. The resort is nestled into the corner of a picturesque golf-course across the road from the river. If you get a unit facing the road, you'll be facing the river but will have to put up with the traffic which could get up to possibly 10 cars per hour at peak times! Next, you need to know that the units are holiday units, not merely hotel rooms, so you'll be doing some of the work yourself. Read the information you are sent when you book, and don't whinge when you find out that only the main bed is made each day. It also means you get a generously equipped kitchen and even a laundry. It is also worth knowing that the resort is one of several maintained by the Federation of Community Sporting & Workers Clubs (FCSWC) - so if you are a member of an affiliate club, you'll get a great discount. In fact, you could probably join the golf club next door if necessary to get the (substantial) discount. I am a member of Ryde-X, which is how I found out about these units int he first place. For this visit, I was in the area for business, but definitely plan on returning for a leisure trip soon.

The car parking, the pool and air conditioning are good. The rooms are well outfitted with microwave, stove top, pod coffee machine, and large refrigerator. Sadly the walls are paint chipped, bathroom tile grout is stained, missing smoke detectors, tatty white towels, no tissues, terrible bed mattress, no spare pillows, and no wifi signal in our room. Before checking-out, guests must wash any dishes, empty the room rubbish bins, strip beds and place all used linen in a washing bag, else an additional cleaning fee of $88 or more must be paid. Pool towels are not available.

For COVID purposes and to keep our booking cost at a low rate, we do ask our guests to tidy the place by disposing of towels and linen into the linen bag and taking out their rubbish before checking out. We're always here to help and our office staff can provide extra items if needed as well as fix any maintenance issues ASAP. This was not brought to our attention until now. Paid $150+ per night for 3 ladies (2 in mid 70's)and received notification 2 days before that only main bed would be made up and guests would have to make other 2 beds themselves. Also had to clean unit up prior to leaving. When you pay $150+ these are things you would assume would be done . Disappointed to say the least. Unit was well appointed and facilities great, but unfortunately these issues were a massive letdown. Maybe Pub next time!

Thank you for your review. When you made your booking we did email you our terms and conditions that say Only the Queen bed will be made, singles and sofa lounge linen will be provided if requested on booking. If you required the single beds to be made or anything else next time please just ask! The rates get cheaper the more nights you stay(up to 7 nights= weekly rate) so you would of paid the higher rate staying for just 2 nights compaired to if you stayed 7 nights then the rates start as low as $97 per night for a member so definitely something worth thinking about. All our units are 2 bedroom fully self-conatined and sleep up to 6 guests at no extra charge. Riverside Resort have been awarded two years in a row the best self-contained accommodation in NSW and The Federation of Community and sporting clubs have 2 other holiday resorts at Fingal Bay and Sussex Inlet. We hope to see you again at the resort for your next bowls tournament. Have a great day.

We’ve been here for a week and have nothing but high praise for this venue. With water at the front doorstep, golf at the back door and a C.ex Club onsite it has excellent facilities. There is kayak hire available, plus tennis and crochet facilities. The accommodation is of a high standard, with a kitchenette and the staff are wonderful. It isn’t hard to feel that you have just made a new friend or that you may just be family. The standard of maintenance is very high. Every aspect of the facility is kept in the best possible order. The town is a 300m walk away. It has 2 supermarkets, a number of coffee shops, a bowling club, a pub and numerous small shops. Holidaying at Urunga was well worth the 4hr drive.

We stayed at Riverside Holiday Resort for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. The apartment was fully equiped with everything you need and although we didnt cook there we had everything to do so. The location across the road from the inlet is great and the main street is a short walk away.

I booked a water facing unit in October for February and confirmed this in November when I stayed for another trip. I also was flexible with the dates so that I could have a waterfront unit. When I arrived I was told that our booking had been changed to another unit way back from the water at the end of the complex with obstructed views. No communication whatsoever. They would not honour this booking and as I was checking in i saw another couple moving into the unit we had booked. Will never stay here again would not recommend staying here. The unit was dirty with hair in the bathroom and soiled bedspreads. Think twice about booking here as they don’t care what unit you booked they put you wherever they want. When I complained they offered me a one night refund of my accommodation. Sorry this does not cut it. I drove 7 hours to get to this resort only to watch someone else check in to my accommodation. Not good enough!!!!!

Hi Christine. I am very disappointed by the review that you have left us. As I explained to you when I gave you 1 night's refund, we had to move guests due to maintenance issues in 2 of our river-facing apartments. We are so sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration though we always go over and above to cater to our guest's needs and did all that we could in your instance also. You were moved to unit 13 that still receives a river view, unlike many of the other guests that were moved to other locations throughout the resort. I don't believe that the apartment was not presented at a high standard on your arrival, because I am confident that you would have brought this to my staff's attention, one of the many times that we spoke. We are sorry that we had to move your apartment though it does CLEARLY STATE in our terms and conditions "The booking is made in good faith by the Resort, though unit numbers may be subject to change due to licensing agreements or for other operational requirements". We wish you all the best and are sorry you no longer want to stay with us at Riverside Holiday Resort in Urunga.

Exceptional accomodation in a 2 bedroom unit. Very clean with everything you need - washing machine, dryer, dishwasher (in newer units). Amenities such as pool and barbecue areas are pristine. Grounds are beautiful. Rebecca and staff are so helpful and accomodating. Perfect holiday destination if you are looking to unwind & relax.

Half reluctant to write this review as would like the place to remain a secret!!
Riverside Resort Urunga is a hidden gem. Surrounded by natural beauty and truly a place where you can unwind and relax and feel miles away. The resort itself is the added bonus to give you that comfort whilst away. It is your home whilst away. The grounds are well kept, the pool is awesome. Trampolines great fun for the kids and best of all the view from the riverview apartments magnificent and that fresh ocean air blowing through the unit is so refreshing. If travelling north, highly recommended you stay at Riverside Resort, by far one of the best holiday places I have stayed in NSW. So much to see and do.
