Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful spot along Tweed River. Less than 10 mins drive to local shops. Clean throughout. Friendly customer service. Amenities and pool are clean. Kids enjoyed the pool more than the local beaches at Coolangatta, which was just an easy 15 minutes away. Peaceful and quiet. Perfect for a walk along the Tweed river. We intend to c

From booking to checking in, the customer service was first class, we got a call a few days before arriving to make sure of our arrival, and if there was anything we may need. On the day we where to arrive we got a text telling us our site was ready if we wanted to come earlier. The site was an ensuite site at the front of the park easy drive through site, very good size. The ensuite was amazing lots of room, plenty of places to put all your bathroom needs. Very clean. The shower is very good, again plenty of room, very good water pressure, hot water, easy to regulate. The view from the site is spectacular, looking over the Tweed River. Although the site is next to the road, road noise was never a problem, Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, We had a very good stay, and very relaxing. The permanent residence are also very friendly, and welcoming. When leaving we where able to drive straight out with no problems. Absolutely great Experience, very well kept, excellent customer service For the Wi Fi addicted, it was also very good,

We stayed in the Riverview Cabin, which is a lovely modern 2 bedroom cabin. The deck faces onto the river which was nice and quiet. It’s a short stroll around to the parks pool and other amenities. The caretaker is friendly. Stopped to talk to us when we saw him around the park. Was a really nice, family friendly atmosphere. We have already rebooked our next stay at Colonial Tweed.

Highly recommended avoiding this place. We stayed during the border closures with Qld and were forced to pay upfront for a week, despite requesting to pay daily due to the unknown volatility of the border situation. We where lucky enough to get an immediate border pass after 4 days of staying so we had to leave and cross the border immediately and then enter hotel quarantine. On requesting a refund for the 3 additional days we did not stay, due to the extreme extenuating circumstances, the manager refused. The park was half empty so our last minute checkout was in no way effecting their ability to take new arrivals, they were just money grabbing, taking advantage of people who are already at the lowest points in their lives. Shame on them. We were told on check in that the daily rate was $38, we where not told we were receiving a discounted rate for a week, we were simply given no option of paying daily. Even so if we were offered $2 a day discount which is what we were later told on the phone, the owner has still grabbed $120 from us for the 3 days we didn't stay. Disgraceful way to run a business, especially in these dreadful times. The manager is arrogant enough to argue back in response to my reviews rather than just admitting her actions were unjustified and unfair.
