I found unit 25 desperately outdated. The furniture is very old, the curtains and bedspreads are horrid and very old. The air-conditioner worked but only just. The shower has a dirty plastic screen and cracked glass partician. For almost $100 a night it is extremely poor quality. I won't be back - EVER!!!

Being new years there weren't many options along the GC and Tweed so this booking was based on availability and location to airport. If travelling at another time of year without the elevated prices then you might be closer to getting value for what you paid.
We needed a late check in and they were able to leave a key in the lock box which was handy. The room was like many motels, although the decor was very dated and mismatched. The textures and patterns which clashed across the room was quite something! We only had the one night stay and you wouldnt want any longer. If passing through on a long drive or in our case a shortage of other options then its do-able but otherwise there are better places to stay.

Just for one night. My brother was to stay but decided to drive back to Sydney early. Room was clean and hygienic. One thing missing was a ceiling fan but instead had to have aircon on. Will stay there again though.

The reception office reeking of cigarette smoke should have prepared us for the c.1977 room.
Bright pink walls, purple satin drapes & stained, floral chintz upholstery.
Came back after dinner to a room with no power. Eventually raised someone in reception who indicated that he wasn’t surprised as “the wirings pretty old & it overloads sometimes”. 25 minutes later, still no power, reception admitted that 3 other rooms had gone out earlier in the afternoon & the guests moved to another room.
Asked for the same courtesy - took him half an hour to find a room (now 10.30pm), as we were moving to the new room, walked past the room next door which was apparently hosting a party. Kept walking to the car & drove off to find a different motel.

Stay away from this place. Dated in every way. Clearly nothing has been changed since it was built in the 1960s. The smell was so bad we left after viewing the place for only 5 minutes. We had to pay up front and they would not refund our money even though we had only spent not even 5 minutes in the place. Bathroom was horrible and stank as well. Do not stay here, a dump master bin would be cleaner and less smelly place to spend the night.

Noisy, smelly room, dirty lounge, uncomfortable bed, awful linen. It is cheap but much better options available. Noise from upstairs room started before dawn and road noise means you won't get any sleep at all.

Ok so having driven 11 hours with my husband and child in the car I was greeted in a aggressive and angry manner! This was due to our late arrival in which was 1.5 hrs later. However the sign on the door displayed contact to the manager til 11 pm this was 845 pm. So after a terrible greeting we received our room which was disgusting in itself. tHis was not the problem. We had booked and payed from the fri til the mon morning! Due to this disgusting treatment we decided to stay elsewhere... He then rang me the next day and abused me saying I was inconsiderate turning up late. Keep in mind I have PAYED til Monday. So MOnday morning we arrive to check out and checking my room before we hand over the key I find that the locks have been changed. What???? The manager then approached me saying they went into the room after our first night(sat) morning! WHO GAVE HIM PERMISSION ? In a nut shell I have never been treatedd so terrible in my life I travel the world extensively and cannot believe this happened! Just letting everyone know if you stay there because it's cheap??? Think again it's dirty and he's a very weird and aggressive man!

The management was disgusting. Rude, swearing, literally changed the locks when we went to breakfast. Was very upsetting for a Christmas holiday with our 1 year old. Cigarette burns in sheets, the room smelt funny. It was literally the holiday from hell. I couldn't have been more upset with the service and room. The cleaner didn't clean the rooms. We decided to stay elsewhere after one night from hell and as we went out for the day, to find new accommodation our room locks were literally changed. Ssooo devasting. Never ever stay there.

We've been there for easter and we spend one night in this motel..worst 150$ (one night) i have spent for a motel! We come inside the room I put my bag on the table and 4 cockroaches just run around! The room was very dirty, full of died cockroaches and full of alive as well! Disgusting! Never again!

In past have stayed at this motel many times however after my overnight stay last week-end, will never stay there again while that man manages it. He is the rudest, unprofessional man I have ever met running a motel. He should run a prison as he would be much better suited. I had a wonderful afternoon then came back to his manner. Rude and indifferent. I thought management was to look after their customers. He even had to check the room before I was able to be refunded my $50 bond. HIs poor wife was embarrassed but I think too afraid to comment. One thing for sure it was a great place to stay, reasonable and neat but I will never stay there again until management is gone.
