We had 3 families in our group staying in caravans and a tent - our sites were right in front of the billabong and next door to the camp kitchen. We all had the best time, the children hardly left the billabong. They paddled kayaks, paddleboards, swam and fished all day long. The waterpark is pretty awesome too but the kids just wanted to be in the billabong and so we hardly used the waterpark or swimming pool at all. We've stayed here a couple times previously but always in cabins - first time using the amenities and they were kept very clean and same with the camp kitchen, it was constantly being cleaned. It's only a few minutes drive into Tweed North to pick up supplies. Really enjoyed our time here again and will be back again very soon!

We spent 5 nights here recently and found it to be a great place for our family. Highlights are the water park for the kids, as well as the billabong which we all enjoyed, due to the kayaks and fishing.
The staff were all really friendly, I feel like they must like working there as they’re all happy! Special mention to Noel who replaced our faulty fridge in record time.
I also liked the coffee van and food vans as they were handy when we didn’t feel like cooking.
There is a shopping centre 5 minutes down the road which is perfect for stocking up on food and also has some restaurants etc.
I’d read the reviews about traffic noise but we were in a Matilda cabin and couldn’t hear a thing. I think it’s the ones by the billabong that would hear it. Also the plane noise didn’t bother us, they’re not that frequent and especially not at night.
All in all this is a great place to stay, quiet and safe for the kids.

Hi Sarah, Thanks so much for your awesome, detailed review of our park, it really was a pleasure to read. It was great to hear your wonderful comments on our staff, you're right, we do love working here and it's lovely to see it shows!! Noel will certainly be happy with your special mention, I'll be sure to pass it on. It sounds like you all made great use of our facilities, the Billabong certainly has been a hit these holidays, keeping the kids smiling with lots of fish being caught. Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our park, we really do appreciate it. We hope to welcome you and your family back for another fun filled family holiday.

Very high standards delivered at Tweed Billabong Big4. Great arrival smile and info, we were early so they took my number & called when our Cabarita Cabin was ready. Nice welcome note with lollies in the cabin which was very clean and had all equipment needed for our weekend stay including a capsual coffee machine, nice touch. Beds were high quality & triple sheeted so they look 5star, Camp kitchen was better equipped that a restaurant commercial kitchen and thoroughly cleaned each morning. Outdoor & indoor seating at the camp kitchen is plentiful and kept clean between users. Facilities are brilliant, from the 3storey kids tree house next to the camp kitchen so dads can keep en eye on junior while cooking dinner, to the actual tidal Billabong with Canoos & SPB, water slide park, heated pool and even a dive-in movie on Sat night at the pool. I have stayed in KAO Parks across USA and Tweed Billabong is better than the yankee 5star versions!

Look it's not bad.... But for it's price I'm going to have to be picky.

Pos: 3 water activity areas (slides, pool, lagoon with giant floaties), nice trees for shade, nice communal deck.....
Neg: constant noise from highway, very loud. You're in a flight landing path too so when they fly over its INCREDIBLY loud. The planes are so close you can see the people in the window seats. I know it's out of their control and it's been said before etc but, no, it has to be mentioned. Really expensive (1000 P/W), not in walking distance from beach or shops, weird bugs that bite at night and your kind of just in the back of this residential suburb next to a massive highway. The only communal toilets get cleaned at 9am and they shut the whole block down and have two parent rooms which causes a line up. If you want to stay in the area, there are a few other spots I'd be considering before this one.

Hi Scott, Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. It's great to read the positives within your review, our water park, Billabong and pools certainly do keep the kids happy, when the kids are happy we can enjoy a little break ourselves. It was a shame to read the negatives. Yes, the noise factor has been mentioned before, but we always hope our awesome facilities and friendly service keeps our guests returning for more memorable family holidays. Once again thanks for your review & good luck in your future travels.

We haven't stayed at a caravan park for years, but glad we stayed here. Our 11 year old daughter had a great time with plenty to do an lots of kids around. The kids activities were great also.
The sites with artificial grass were excellent and kept the camper so much cleaner than grass and were a generous size. The ensuite facility were clean to although the amenities were clean as well.
Being over the flight path for Gold Coast airport incoming flights was not ideal, but actually did become background noise along with the highway noise. Light sleepers may need earplugs.

Thanks so much for your comments about the park, your site and kids club activities. Yes the artificial grass sites are popular and can accommodate a variety of camper or tents styles for example. See you again next time.

Stayed for 3 nights on an ensuite site. Getting the van into the site was a little tricky due to the close proximity of the cabins but the site itself was a good size and the ensuite was clean and modern. Kids loved the waterpark even in June and the heated pool. The camp kitchen was the best I've seen, alongside the billabong. The little food van was a nice touch too.

We stayed for two nights with 3 other families with kids ranging from 6 down to 4 months.
We stayed in the back corner near the water park, next to the highway.
We were a bit apprehensive about the noise from the highway and also the overhead planes. It turns out we actually enjoyed where we were. Yes you can hear the highway and the planes but it’s not that bad. You get used to the highway noise and when it’s busy you are often busy yourself. It’s quieter at night because there is less traffic on the road and it never woke us up. The planes are louder but fairly infrequent and only during the hours you’re awake. We managed to keep our 4 month old in a normal sleep routine. Our kids would give them a run for their money noise-wise anyway lol.
The spot is also quieter from park traffic so the kids could ride scooters etc without too much risk.
The sites are huge and the best we have use. They they are super close to the water slides & billabong which was perfect for us. One downside, if it is even one is it is a bit of a walk to the amenities but it’s not that bad. If you complain about that you’re just looking for a whinge and will never be happy. The amenities themselves are clean and well looked after. We didn’t use the kitchen area so can’t comment on that. Staff were super nice and helpful.
We would definitely stay again.

We had a family holiday in BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park. We stayed in the Greenmount Villa. A large spacious cabin for 6 adults and a toddler. We found the cabin clean, beds were comfortable. The cooking facilities were more than adequate to meet our needs. We had our own back yard and able to have a gate that closed that made it safe for the toddler to run around in. The water facilities were great and enjoyed by adults and well as the young toddler. There were other activities offered in the park to keep you occupied. The walk around the park going to the various activity areas was nice. The park also had extra activities as movie night at the pool and activities for children. Staff were very friendly. The family had a very positive experience and would recommend a holiday at BIG 4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park.

Even though it was winter the kids still had a great time at the water park (lucky we got awesome weather) and also in the heated pool. We stayed in a Matilda large cabin which was a perfect size for our family of 6. Being able to fish in the Billabong is an added bonus with a few bream caught keeping the kids nice and excited.
Soccer field and Basketball court was also a hit along with the peddle go-carts. Facilities were kept very clean and additional Covid cleaning was evident. Will definitely be back.

Everything was amazing and so much to do for children without having to leave the camp grounds and to know they were safe to play freely, and parents/grandparents/aunties could take time to relax. Morning coffees, woodfire pizzas truck for dinner, fun activities at the bakehouse. Next time maybe onto a paddle board or kayak on the billabong or perhaps a little quiet time fishing. Plenty of free to hire sports balls/equipment for the more competitive families!

There are a number of shops a short walk from the park. Also a MacDonalds and a Dan Murphy's close by. The area is flat so it is not a strenuous walk.

We visit this park often and we all go on the waterslides! There are 4 parents in their 40's and kids aged 20, 18, 16 and 13, who all love the water park. Great family fun for all!
