The bar and bistro in the same building wasn't at all noisy and the food and wine was delicious and good price. I wish I could have stayed for a week. It was pretty close to the perfect getaway.
We did have a nice meal downstairs in the pub but we certainly won’t be staying there next time we are in Tathra.

We had dinner in the bistro which was tasty and there's a great range of beers, some brewed onsite which is also cool. Easy walk down to the headland jetty and the cafe there.
Not sure if Tathra has access to the NBN but the only negative about our stay was the speed of the wifi. Too slow to use on my laptop and Netflix didn't want to know. Shame because everything else was well oiled here so need to get wifi fixed while the renovations are taking place to change this from very good to excellent.
This is a place that you must visit, even if you only to have a drink. The view is stunning and quite mesmerizing.
Two of us had steak sandwiches which were fairly typical, although it appeared to be a fairly large chunk of meat. The sandwich was served with chips.
One had the salmon Poke which he polished off and seemed to enjoy.
I had the seafood chowder which was a tasty large meal. Different but delightful.
No service to speak of because you had to order at the cashier (separate food from drinks). The only "service" was the clearing of plates which was reasonably efficient.
The views from the tables, whether inside or outside, were amazing.
Stupidly, this place didn't accept Amex. That's a black mark from me.
The views from the balcony rooms are gorgeous and the rooms themselves spotless and extremely comfortable.
The management and staff were friendly and accomodating at all times and the 2 evening meals and one breakfast we had were delightful.
I particularly recommend the specials board; we were luck enough to enjoy Eden mussels in Laksa broth - sublime.

Unfortunately we arrived at 2.01 and lunch was finished. Communication was not great as there were pizzas being available to order within the following hour but this message was not conveyed to us.
Warm welcome, staff very friendly. Nothing else to say about this.
"Just the ideal spot to relax with a drink or enjoy a delicious lunch on the rear deck with an unbeaten view."Read full review

"We had room far right as you look at hotel from front, end rooms would be slightly larger than two middle rooms."Read full review
