Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This motel has grounds and space. While it is a motel style set up you do not feel hemmed in. My room had fully screened bay windows that let in a reliable cool breeze across a nice leafy garden visa. My room was tidy and equiped with usual items need for my stay. Peter facility manager and Sharon customer care manager attentive. The Manor House is an interesting historic building to look at. Scone has walking tail of historic sights that is available at the tourist centre. Due to covid Manor House Cafe and pool not operating.

The room size is of a reasonable size for a sixties motel remember the historical home doesn't have accommodation. The room was warm and comfortable. They weren't currently providing any food options due to COVID.

This place uses beautiful historic house for accommodation, but the room I stayed was not in that house, but a usual motel right next to the house. Still, the room was clean enough and comfortable.

Breakfast is served in the historic house. Variety of food was not a lot, but enough for usual breakfast.

We stayed here overnight travelling through. We arrived in late but staff / management were very helpful in getting us a room and recommending a good place to eat within walking distance. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet. We had breakfast in the big old original building which was lovely. Although in town the motel had a real countryside feel, with lovely gardens and seating areas. Next time we'd love to spend more time in this area.

We stayed for one night and found the room small and clean but tired.
The free Wifi didn’t work and there was no-one available to help.
The bath towels were small and very thin.
The extra pillow in the wardrobe didn’t have a pillow slip on it.

Customer service was lacking and needs improvement. Checkin process was old school, not flexible for late arrival travellers. We understand that the building in general is old but when it comes to cleanliness, it requires a massive improvement. Our bedsheet was old with some hair on the bed (definitely not mine), dusty and sticky floor, shower head too low and too tight. The room has a musky smell and most importantly, mosquitoes, small cockroaches and other insects! The other thing was we unfortunately left stuff in the fridge, we called them after roughly 45mins and said they will check the cleaner. We told them that we’ll definitely come back and get them. Nobody called to let us know that they didn’t keep our stuff, we came back from Barrington Tops Park to Scone few hours later and they just said our food was gone. Worse customer service!

Sadly Airlie House's best days are behind it or potentially they may be in the future. The property is currently in a run down condition. The tariff for a twin room was on par with Sydney prices and while our room was comfortable it lacked hot water both in the evening and next morning. We couldn't complain as the desk was unattended.

To the ( manager, bellhop, whatever ) you would have to be the rudest person I have ever had to deal with over the years when booking accommodation. I don’t know how you manage to stay in business with your attitude to potential customers, lucky you have a lovely offsider to assist you.
You not only need some customer service education but I suggest a computer course wouldn’t go astray either.

I rang the week prior to my wedding to confirm our accommodation. They tried to call me while I was getting married and out of service. I rang back on my way to the reception to be told. You did not answer your phone when we rang so we have given your room to someone else. Very inconvenient on your wedding day when everything else was booked out. The guy was so rude on the phone and didn’t give a damn that he had inconvenienced anyone. I won’t be recommending to anyone

The room was adequately sized and with the normal range of facilities. Clean. Fairly quiet. Conveniently located near one end of the main street with multiple shops, services, etc. Very helpful staff member arranged for a latish check in. I would stay here again.
