Beautifully appointed rooms. Gentle and elegant olde worlde country feel. Superbly spacious with complete privacy.
I have to give 5 stars because it exceeded expectations, however, the breakfast was unremarkable - unless of course you are a fan of the typical English big breakfast, then you're on a winner!
Peter, our host, was like a longtime friend and extremely helpful and kind. This place is his passion and the little touches, like lavender bubble bath and candles by the spa, say volumes about the care he takes.
The heated indoor pool has skylights that let beautiful natural light flood in, and the grassy stretch between the pool room and dining room was perfect for a lazy morning.
I highly recommend staying.

Fabulous three night stay in this idyllic property. It’s advertised as B&B but don’t think you’re not welcome to stay here all day. Our suite large, comfortable, log fire, private little garden, large spa bath. Great shampoo, body lotions, all top quality. Immaculately clean, homely. Anything you may need provided, even down to a microwave and plates. Fabulous little extras, home made biscuits, chocolates and port on the mantle piece. The main lounge/ dining area exquisite and open to all guests, there are only four suites here. Continental Breakfast is included ,fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toasts and lots of very unusual local jams, but for an extra few dollars a full English breakfast can be provided which was excellent . Lynn and Peter are perfect hosts, there should you need them for advice or general needs, but unobtrusive and when staying you feel very secluded. I can’t recommend this Lodge highly enough, if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to forget the worries of the world and recharge your batteries.

We loved our stay at Strathearn Park Lodge. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with extra touches that made us feel really welcome: good coffee, biscuits, candles and genuinely welcoming hosts. The lodge is very quiet: we heard nothing from other guests, The continental breakfast included a great pot of tea and the grounds are just beautiful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and we appreciated the privacy of our own garden - also the beautiful birds. We look forward to staying here again.

We had the worst nights sleep at Strathearn Park Lodge during our recent road trip. The bed was "very hard" and the room had an over powering odour, it was hard to describe at the time, but it made me feel ill. I have since found out that Strathearn Park Lodge is pet friendly, so I am now thinking the odour could have been in the carpet and was enhanced by the fireplace and the reverse cycle air conditioner, as the night was very cold. The lounge chair in the room was also uncomfortable, there were no springs or "give" in the seating, it was like sitting on a bench seat.
A Continental Breakfast is available, the pot of tea was nice and hot as well as plentiful. Parking is under cover in a tin shed adjacent to the house.
Stay very alert when looking for this place, it is located in a "100 km/h zone" on the New England Hwy from Scone to Mussellbrook as the Lodge is not readily seen from the Hwy at speed. Not even "Waze" was able to assist us. A sign 1 - 1.5kms prior would help to alert drivers.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to give us feedback. I am sorry the bed did not suit. We do have a mattress softener on it but did not do the job for you. Yes we are pet friendly but only in one room, which is not the room you stayed in. I checked the room out following your feedback and the only odour I detected was a lavendar Air Wick which could have been too strong for you. I agree about our entry off the New England Highway and in our instructions on getting here advise of a sign 500 mtr before our driveway which says B & B 500 metres and put your blinker on at this point and touch breaks to ensure traffic behind you are aware of your intention to turn Again I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations

Perfect place to escape the concrete jungle! The room was filled with natural light and the private garden was a peaceful space to spend the morning. In the afternoon you can have a picnic under the warm winter sun or enjoy a cheese platter and wine in front of the fireplace. The big bathtub is a great way to finish off a perfect day. The owners are extremely helpful and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Plus they have the cutest dog with the most friendly personality. Totally recommended!

My husband and I chose to stay at Strathern Park Lodge as we had seen reviews on how beautiful and relaxing it looked. We had also seen their segment on Getaway...And it didn't disappoint. We drove up the beautiful long driveway passed the horses and were met by Lyn with a beautiful smile. She welcomed us in and showed us around. Our room was spacious, extremely clean, it smelt beautiful and our view of our private garden was lovely. There were mints and complimentary chocolates in the fridge. Candles everywhere... very romantic and quiet. There are four rooms within the house and although they booked you would not have known anyone else was there. Peter kindly came in and lit our fire for us, and this was a beautiful touch as it was a little cold outside. In the morning we made our way to the dining room where Peter had set the tables and had prepared a continental breakfast. He greeted all of the guests that arrived and made sure we all felt at home. We will definitely be returning and spreading the word on how lovely Strathern is to stay at. Thank you lyn and Peter for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable 😊

As a couple from Sydney we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle to unwind and relax. We were able to do just that in Peter and Lyn’s B&B! Beautiful location, amazing rooms and service as well as being pet friendly! The rooms are equipped with everything you need and have access to a private garden (which is beautifully maintained) with sensational views! My partner and I will be returning and enjoyed our weekend stay. I highly recommend this place if you are wanting a luxury B&B stay. Thank you Lyn and Peter, you were both great hosts and applaud you in creating a sanctuary of bliss!

Enjoyed our 3 night retreat at Strathearn Lodge to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.
Room was beautifully appointed, luxury country style decor, warm, fluffy towels, cushions & beautifully warm. We had the open fire on one night which was lovely.
Continental breakfasts were delicious & ample. A selection of cereals, trail mix, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea / french press coffee, toast, raisin toast & fresh local jams.
Garden outlook from Room 1, superb view to watch the sunrise to see the valley come to life.
Our hosts, Lyn & Peter (and Gayle) were warm, welcoming & extremely helpful.
Alot of thought has been channelled into creating this beautiful retreat.
Thank you.
Will be recommending to our family & friends.

I stay here frequently for business in Muswellbrook and love the peace and tranquility. The hosts Lynn and Peter are delightful and are up for a chat or leave me to the privacy of my gorgeous room and garden. The accommodation is located well back from the road so there is no traffic noise - just a spacious and beautifully decorated room to rest easily.

Thank you for staying with us and I will respond to your comments. The air conditioning control was on cool and we had showed you how to put it on heat the previous night. Obviously somehow it was changed to cool somehow. We are pet friendly and it clearly states in all advertising dogs are welcome in your room and in your garden and on your verandah but not other parts of the house as other guests may not wish a dog to be in the area. As we are a operating farm dogs must be on leash if outside. Heated pool is covered to keep heat in,. Notice on door says please get Peter to take cover off Brown leather folder on table is your compendium with all instructions on wifi, Netflix, fires etc and also the pet friendly room has notes about your dog. Cupboards and blanket box in room are where blankets, pillows etc are kept as most venues do Surprised about the snake on verandah at this time of year - but also we are in the country so there are some nasties out there. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us

Hey Sophie of Rouse Hill, sorry I only just checked my emails. As the hostess has already replied I can confirm breakfast in the dining room was very pleasant. We had dinner @ the Thoroughbred Hotel & were quite impressed. Great vibe but not overly noisy, lucky to get a table on a busy Friday night but food was good, service efficient. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. Travel safe.
