Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My partner and I stayed here to break up a long trip. Theresa and David were so welcoming and helpful. The place itself is lovely and impeccably kept. Theresa was able to make a great dinner recommendation and she cooked us breakfast before we set off again. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Amazing home, Theresa and David are the nicest couple you could meet. Make you feel very welcome. The room was spotless and the bed was awesome. If you have a chance to stay in this region of NSW would highly recommend for a stay. Theresa' fruit loaf is sensational.

Overall the building was VERY clean and well furnished, I have not one bad thing to say about the look of our room, as I said it was a really nice room... although the walls were paper thin I felt that there was no privacy staying there, I could hear everything the neighbouring rooms were saying and I assume they could hear everything I was also saying.. I also felt that everything we did was being watched. There wasn’t an option to lock our room for security, even after I had asked for a key to the room; there wasn’t an option to provide me with one. So the safety of my belongings was just another thing on my mind. Personal touch on the customer service may be ones dream, but to be greeted when we got home late at night I felt gave me the impression she was waiting for us, and we both felt like were staying at the ‘in-laws’.....Somewhat awkward, we both couldn’t wait to leave! Also when we booked the room we went aware that the bathroom was a share bathroom, although it was a short holiday for us, were visiting scone for a wedding, not having a bathroom to ourselves was an inconvenience, as I had to be mindful of other guests who wanted to use the bathroom. My partner also felt uncomfortable using the bathroom as the walls were paper thin and he was worried about waking people up. This may be what some travellers are looking for, but privacy is a big one for me, and there defiantly wasn’t any! No hard feelings but We won’t be returning to the willow gate hall again.
