Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very run down, lots of rubbish lying around. Mostly permanent residents. Amenities old & dated but clean. No soap dispenser in the ladies. Dump point was just a wheelie bin sunk in the ground, no hose just a tap next to it. Looked all around site but couldn’t find the pool. The few sites they had were drive through which was handy so ok just for an overnight stop but pricey at $45. Lady in the office was very nice

Make sure you ask for a new cabin if you stay here. The new cabins are clean and very nice and would stay in that again. The park itself is very run down and you can see mold in the old cabins from the outside. If they had of given us an old one we would have left.

We stayed for one night at the park. The only reason we stayed because it was getting late and we were tired of driving. Upon arrival at 6pm there was nobody at reception so we had to ring the bell to have someone come check us in. The lady who checked us in was very annoyed that we were there and she had to come check us in and made that very clear with her multiple sighs, comments, and bad attitude. She took our money and told us to go find a campsite wherever there was one left. Not friendly at all. The sites were not great but had water and power hookups. The bathrooms were clean and good laundry facilities. Would not recommend this place for a holiday...only if you need a cheap place to stay for the night and need to park it for the night.

We keep coming back and are happy with each return visit as we have seen small improvements over the last 2 1/2 years. The floor tiles in the amenities betray the parks age , but it is well maintained, clean, and offers a budget accommodation fee at a central location to the lower Hunter area. Quiet location close to the highway and the diesel prices at the fuel outlet at the gate are the lowest we have seen from Brisbane to Sydney on both the coast and New England routes.

Room Tip: This park has cabin accommodation. If you want the best ask for a late model cabin.

The worst park I have had the misfortune to stay in. Poorly maintained sites and facilities. No evidence of cleaning for the duration of our stay.
I am surprised the park is permitted to operate as I doubt they would meet any legal requirements of a caravan park, certainly not from a health and safety aspect.
We would have left immediately if we had been in a position to do so ( vehicle being repaired) however we did manage to get out as quickly as we could.

We stayed at Bellhaven in one of their new cabins for over a week.
The cabin was comfortable, roomy and clean. Kitchen is well appointed but lacks cooking equipment and utensils.
The beds were comfortable and the linens clean. It had its own ensuite.
The park has a mixture of old and new cabins and permanent onsite vans/cabins. Also has powered and unpowered sites available.
The toilet blocks were old but clean and functional. There is also a laundry.
We loved staying here and felt welcomed and safe. It’s very quite considering the van park is close to the highway.
The on site manager went out of his way to help and assist us with many things which made our stay relaxed and enjoyable.
We would recommend.

We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights while attending a cricket carnival. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed- ac, tv, microwave, cold fridge/freezer, kitchenette and good hot shower. The park is very central to everything and the manager was lovely, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. If you want a clean, convenient place to stay, check it out!

This place is no honeymoon destination but it suited me perfectly. Ugly. Really ugly, but clean, good tv and good bed and great water pressure. Me and my dog were very happy for the night. As an added bonus it has a service station with cheap fuel out the front. Close to the Pacific highway.

Don't stay here. $50 per night and the place is a real dive. A rip off. Mostly long term worker accommodation by the looks of it. Mozzie infested. Very small with lots of cars. Noisy as right on highway. Toilets and showers were the highlight but even then pretty basic.
