Stayed one night in a deluxe glamping tent (#9). This is the only accommodation type I would stay in here as we could spot 5 koalas while sitting on the outdoor deck. Wish we took binoculars. Facilities were clean and comfortable - shower was strong and hot. Continental breakfast in room - bread/spreads/muesli/yoghurt/milk/juice Small hamper included - wine/cheese/crackers 45min tour included in the morning. Great for a short romantic getaway and although accommodation is a bit pricey happy the $$$ are going to the koala hospital.

We loved everything about this place. We stayed in the motel style rooms as all the glamping tents were booked. The room was fabulous. Large room, very clean, comfy bed. Really nice touch supplying a very substantial breakfast basket (whole loaf of bread, big tub of yoghurt, lots of juice and milk and condiments). Was pleasantly surprised. The Koala Sanctuary is steps away. The private morning tour (included) had the koalas awake and roaming around, was wonderful to see. Tour guide was also fantastic. Great pool to cool off at the end of the day. 5 min drive into town for dinner. Only negative was the cafe were very very slow and the food was average (I believe run by an external company). Have raved about this place to friends back in Sydney. A real gem!

Simply best of the best. We've stayed in the glamping tent. It was clean, cool, all amenities prepared (and more!!). The pool was really nice, staff were very helpful and welcoming too. Highly highly (yes I wrote it 2x) recommended.

I would give this place 6 stars if i could. From pre check in answering my questions to communicating check in information with me, PSKS has been very good and hospitable. I spoke to Ali prior to check in and during check in and it was superb. Explained everything i needed to know. Renee then came the next day passionately sharing the work on the sanctuary and the koalas. Along the way, the volunteers chip in and explained what they were doing. On the second day, i was approached by one of the ambassadors who pointed out the koalas to me. Housekeeping staff were also welcoming and willing to engage with us. This stop at Port Stephens was the best part of my NSW trip and i am glad we booked 3 nights here at PSKS. It was so tranquil yet full of warmth. PSKS reminded me why i love visiting Australia for the past 25 years. The staff who are passionate about the country, about their wildlife and they cannot wait to share Australia’s best with you.
So let’s talk a little about the room. We booked the 1 bedroom suite with conti breakfast provided. It was a huge basket of bread, fruit, cereals with milk and juice in the fridge. It was relatively cold day and they prepared the room with ac already switched on (love that). In the breakfast basket there was a hand written welcome note for all of us, which I appreciate v much and have brought home as a souvenir.
The room was IMMACULATE. Very very new, very very clean. Either no one had stayed there and used the utensils or housekeeping did a brilliant job. I choose to believe the latter. I was really comfortable staying there. Loved the kitchen they provided though i wished they could have a dishwasher, given such a new property it is. Being able to park right in front of the villa is also a big plus. Another big plus was the fact that their internet connection was weak. I had no qualms to disconnect at all for a vacation.
Great job everyone!!?

Stayed in connected suites with our family recently. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout from reception through to the housekeeping staff. The walk through to Samurai beach takes about 20min , half of which is along sand track which is well used by trail bikes and 4WDs so good to keep small children close. The beach itself is a bit open and is legal naturist beach and together with the 4WD traffic not a great place to hang out with kids. The park itself is quiet and well maintained. There were only 4 BBQ hotplates but was no problem getting access to one while we were there. The koala tour was quite interesting and were able to see a few sleepy koalas in the trees.. The onsite cafe is good for a morning coffee but otherwise offerings were quite limited.
The rooms were comfortable, modern and clean and provided a comfortable sleep. They are equipped with TV which we didn't get around to watching. The kitchenette is very basic with just a fridge, microwave and toaster. There is no hot plate or sink although basins are provided for washing up for a bit of the camping experience . A little over priced for the quality but still quite comfortable and good to know some of fee is going to help the koalas . All in all family enjoyed ourselves and was a good base for exploring the area.
