Detailed Reviews
Spent 4 nights in one of the Sunseeker Cabins in beautiful Shoal Bay. The cabin was spotless, the bed so comfortable and all the services were first class.
The check in process was easy online and the reception staff so friendly from the moment we arrived. The park caters for everyone, location in Shoal Bay is close to everything, including the famous Shoal Bay Country Club/Hotel.
I would recommend this Park for your next short or long stay!

The location of this park is perfect!
Easy walk into shoal bay/ fungal bay, beautiful beach literally across the road and easy bike ride into Nelson’s Bay.
The park is well maintained and brand new bathroom facilities are the nicest we have come across in any park.
Although there is not a children’s playground in the park there is a great park directly outside.
My only caution would be that the roads are very narrow which made placing the van a little tricky - if you are not an experienced with towing and placing your van I would recommend asking for a site which is more easily accessible.
Overall a lovely stay - we will most certainly be returning.

Me and my partner headed up for valentines weekend in our camper van and as soon as we got there and checked out the facilities we were amazed at how nice it was. Then we checked out the location and saw it was so close to the bay and walking distance to the shops, cafes and restaurants. Also a 10 minute walk to the bottom of the tomaree hike which was awesome. Probably the best toilet and shower facilities we’ve ever seen at a campground and would 110% come back.
The express check was also very convenient as you didn’t have to go in and check in and out when you were there which saved a lot of time.
Overall very good atmosphere and place (even with the rain) and would definitely come back!

The location wins out for this holiday park. We stayed 2 nights in a safari tent with our 2 year old. Loved being able to walk across the road to the beach and to the shops. Plenty of space to ride bikes for the kids. The tent itself would be quite compact if there were 4 people and older kids, however the deck makes a big difference and communal area. We thought it would be great to go back to with friends and their kids. We stayed mid August and the nights were FREEZING. We used the extra blankets they had for the other beds and were thankful we'd thrown in another one from home at the last minute. The little fan heater they provided was broken - would be good if housekeeping checked these things between guests.
Things the note: The only other people staying in the safari tents at the time were young P platers who were quiet all day and came alive at night time which wasn't great when trying to put a toddler to bed + the back gate near the council playground was padlocked but we weren't notified at reception and the map shows it as available so that caused a bit of a long walk one day. Otherwise, all good. Would come back for the location. The tents were basic but better than camping. A few little extra touches could make a big difference.

Shoal Bay holiday Park is perfectly located directly opposite Shoal Bay beach and an easy walk to numerous cafes and restaurants.
The bathroom facilities are the best I have seen in a camping ground.
Good sized and well maintained tent sites with great shade from surrounding trees.

Our caravan site was level and well presented, close to a lovely grassy bbq area. The kids really enjoyed the Tv room/ games room with lots of games & activities. The new amenities block is very impressive, worth staying here just for the shower experience! Excellent location, just across from Shoal Bay. I recommend climbing the Tomaree Headland or walking around the point.

Wonderful location right opposite Shoal Bay beach. Close to restaurants, pub, shops. Clean, well maintained grounds.
We had 2 nights in a Standard 2 bedroom cabin. Modern, Well laid out with a full stove. Bathroom is on the small side but functional.
No dishwasher powder or dish cloth supplied but once raised with reception problem was sorted. Faulty kettle caused power issues twice but an easy fix both times.
10pm noise curfew in place but a noisy party was still going strong after midnight. Raised with reception the next morning.
Would stay again.

Great spot to enjoy Port Stephens and surrounds. The holiday park provided a good atmosphere for the children to relax, ride their scooters, play tennis and enjoy the games room. We also had the opportunity to enjoy a picnic style dinner with pizzas from a visiting food truck.

The greeting from staff to check into our Caravan site made you feel very welcome. All booking details made weeks ahead were perfectly recorded because sometimes at other Parks they have been messed up . The design of their new very large amenities block is the best we have experienced from Caravanning over 13 years. They were kept perfectly Covid 19 cleaned every day. Fully recommend a Stay at this Park to enjoy the close by walking/ swimming / Beach / entertainment facilities.
