Warm and welcoming host Matt, food for breakfast and dinner was amazing thanks to his wife the chef and 5 stars. Drop off and pick up morning and afternoon, none at lunch and a fair walk up a hill to get a swlf made sandwich or toasted sandwich. Then walk back down again until 4pm. Instant coffee and teabags available all the time. Proper coffee extra costs. No Milo or hot chocolate available but as an extra. Rooms were tiny, only had beds and limited cupboard space so we lived out of suitcases. If we all stood up we could not move. Main double bed was very uncomfortable we rolled into each other all night, we even turned it around and still had issues. Heating is on or off no way of regulating the temperature. So either a very hot room or a cold one. Very lumpy pillows and the top bunk was dirty with hair on it, we had to ask twice for it to be re made and for more towels. Great endless hot water and shower pressure. Heated floor in bathroom. The spa and sauna were amazing. Views were incredible.

Very comfortable older style ski lodge. Ski down to the lifts. Matt kindly picks you up in the afternoon! Matt and Lou are very generous hosts. Matt the face of the lodge. Lou the quiet achiever who produces delicious food in the kitchen. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms a good size. Very effective heating! Would recommend and hope to stay here again this season!

Stayed here a few nights as first-time visitors to Perisher. Very relaxed and family friendly place. Lodge itself is a little tired and dated, but is cosy and warm nonetheless. The food is outstanding and the lodge manager is a good host, who took the time to look after all his guests. They do daily drop offs and pickups at set times, otherwise it's a fair walk uphill to get back from the lifts. Skiing out is possible when there's enough snow, which is awesome! We would happily stay here again.

What a super find. Greeted by Matt in the snow car on arrival at the Ski tube, we were taken to our lovely accommodation. A room with a view, en-suite and an extra sink in the bedroom made it easy to have a his and hers getting ready time. The bed was comfy and the rooms offer two radiators for extra heat if needed. The lodge was quiet at night which allowed a good sleep after a big day in the snow. Breakfast which comprised on a buffet style with cereals, GF or ordinary bread for toasting. Juices. Tea and coffee and a variety of hot breakfasts on offer all included in the great value deal. Lunch was a selection of meats and cheeses with salad and bread to make sandwiches etc. The three course evening meals were magnificent. The Chef Louanne was superb. Standard, vegetarian and Vegan choices were all available. Beautifully created with a flair for presentation as well as some great new flavours. How about Chai Poached pear with soy ice cream. Oh my gosh I can still taste this it was delicious. They also offer a terrific selection of wines and the bar serves a lovely apres ski cocktail or aperitif before dinner. Special coffees can also be ordered at any time and added to your tab. Social distancing was respected and taken very seriously with extra measures in place to avoid unnecessary contact with others or handling of buffet food. I was unlucky enough to have had an accident from another skier and a Matt could not have done more to help us if he had tried. The staff were so cheerful and kind and we really loved our stay here. I’ll be back. Thank you so very much. Flowers from Tattisalls on my arrival home made my day. Thank you.

Recently had the opportunity to stay at Boonoona lodge for two nights. My fiancee and I cannot say enough about the service we recieved during our stay. Matt and his staff were professional, but relaxed and friendly which suited the chilled atmosphere of the lodge. We were blown away by the familial atmosphere among the people who worked at Boonoona, which was demonstrated not only between staff members and guests but also between the staff themselves who seemed to genuinely care about each other. This was probably best exemplified by the staff taking time to play with Matt and Luey's two beautiful children while managing to still keep tabs on the needs of the lodge's guests. Matt went out of his way twice to give us rides to and from the ski-tube station upon our arrival to, and again upon our departure from the lodge, despite the fact that both were outside the normal pick-up times. We can also not say enough about the delicious meals that were prepared for us (at no extra cost) during our stay. Simple and lovingly prepared food makes a big difference before heading out for or after a long day of skiing. We had great snow for our skiing, but it was the pride and care shown by the staff at Boonoona that were the true highlights of our trip to Perisher. Thank you so much! We will be back!

This place was the absolute highlight of our time at Perisher. While the weather and snow were very disappointing, our whole family loved Boonoona. Matt went well and truly above and beyond to make everyone feel right at home. The food was amazing, every single night. With no TVs in the rooms, everyone spent their evenings in the communal areas, chatting, playing pool and cards, watching movies and sport. The place had a really good vibe and it was sad to say goodbye at the end. While not as close to the snow as other accommodation at Perisher, Matt was very generous with giving us a lift up or down the hill.

My wife and I accompanied by our son his wife and baby daughter have spent three days at Boonoona. It is located on the slopes of Perisher Valley with spectacular panoramic views of the snow clad slopes. The lodge is very well run by Matt and Luanne who were very welcoming. The accommodation is very comfortable and the three meals provided each day superb! I would thoroughly recommend Boonoona for a holiday in Perisher.

My Wife & I stayed here for four days and can say this. When you stay here, you are made and treated like family. Nothing is too much trouble or to hard, it was more about being laid back and being happy. Matt the Manager will always say, no worries can do, no problem! His wife, kids and staff are all good people which is why it’s like a being with family and friends. The lodge has history, it is also original and an older establishment, built in 62, and still have the 80’s feel, so for Beck & I, we loved it and were not looking for shining and modern, so it was home to us. Food was superb and filling. Thanks Guys, Rob & Beck.

Decided to do a weekend at Perisher at late notice (and during school holidays). Booked on line via City Tatts and set off. As per the instructions sent in advance Matt picked us up at the ski tube station in the over snow cat and whisked us back to the lodge. it was very comfortable with plenty of lounge and bar space for relaxing, all with great views of the slopes. My only minor criticism would be that the 4 person family room was pretty tight for space, but it too had views of the mountain and a small very clean bathroom with heated floors. The meals were excellent, and Matt went out of his way to help us out with lifts in the snow cat, particularly as we had one member of the party who couldn't ski down from the lodge - which is ski out, but not ski in. Matt does pick ups from 430-500pm. He also dropped our luggage down to us after a morning skiing on our day of departure. In our sort stay we didn't have time to check out the sauna and spa. We enjoyed the weekend, and thought Boonoona a very relaxed and comfortable place to stay with great service. We will be back.
