We stayed in a family room 7 nights. Location great but the main thing that stood out was the service from the staff. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was great. Rooms clean and tidy. Great view and the kids loved the spa and sauna. We will be back

Average all round. For the premium hotel on slope it was disappointing. The staff were unhelpful, disinterested and clearly need better leadership and instruction on their jobs. Covid rules are difficult to manage but shouldn’t interfere or be an excuse for poor hospitality. The rooms desperately need a refurbishment, particularly the bedding. The food was good and as I would expect for the price paid.

The Perisher Valley Hotel was a once in a lifetime experience for my family and one I will never forget. They made us feel so welcome from the second we arrived, picking us up from the car park in the snow mobile and getting us settled straight away. The convenience of this hotel is insurmountable! Obviously the location is amazing but also the daily breakfast buffet and yummy dinners in Snow Gums restaurant were great and the available spa/sauna made my afternoon. The rooms aren't the most modern but we were so warm all the time, it was unbelievable watching the snow falling down around the hotel while sitting in bed snug as a bug. As in my title I can't fault the hotel, the staff or the experience in general. Stay here if you can afford it, even just once, it's worth every penny for the memory's!

Whilst this hotel claims to be ski in and ski out, unless you are prepared to clear the half pipe to get back it is extremely hard to ‘ski in’, as the ski school are out front you can’t ski through the fenced off area until about 4pm. Skiing out will get you part way to the V8 chairlift but again not truely ski out if you want to end at a chairlift after putting on your skis/board. Although this may seem picky, if you have a couple of children and skis in tow, carrying the equipment can become bothersome. I’ve found that staying on snow in Perisher you have to expect hotel rooms that are a little dated and Perisher Valley was no exception. The rooms whilst big were out dated and would benefit from some TLC. The bed has to be the worst I have slept in, in my many travels - could be personal preference - but 2 singles pushed together left a huge dent in the middle of the ‘double’ bed and it was so soft, it lacked any support. Travelling in September - booked months ahead of time, through a third party site - and there was NO mention that the hotel bar and restaurant would be closed our entire stay😡 - no wonder it was a non-refundable rate. Even the confirmation email only said that there restaurant MAY close for dinner out of peak season. It didn’t open for breakfast, lunch or dinner and no bar to get a drink from either. The rooms are big enough for a microwave, which you would think they would provide without anywhere else to eat! Food options on the mountain after 5pm are extremely limited - especially if you have dietary requirements, and lets face it, after a day on the slopes who really wants to have to walk in the snow to go to another hotel for dinner? You may as well stay at the other hotel! The majority of the staff were friendly - apart from an older woman named Kerry(sp?!), everything you asked her just seemed to be too much bother and she wasn’t interested. Now the view from the room was pretty amazing, all snow and lifts.... However, fast forward to night time and that view becomes an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! The cats are out grooming the slopes and the noise is horrendous. I didn’t get a full nights sleep at this hotel - due to the beds - but also due to the noise from the cats grooming the snow for the morning. They need to invest in some seriously thick glass to block that noise out. Photos of the ‘Laundry Closet’ attached! Would I stay at this hotel again? Hell no! The only reason we stayed was because Perisher Manor where we usually stay was sold out. I just need to get my skates on with booking, as even in September the restaurant and bar remains open and the staff are always so friendly.

This is the third time we’ve stayed here for skiing. It’s very conveniently located on Front Valley. You only need to look out the window to make a decision about skiing. The included evening meal is reasonable quality. There is storage for skis and boots. I find that the air gets a bit bit dry through the night which is probably related to the heating. The decor is a bit dated but it still is probably the best place to stay at Perisher. Definitely a place we will return to.

From checking in to checking out, what a memorable experience. That’s all I’ve got to say because I don’t want to spoil the chance to discover your personal experience of being pampered while having skied during the day. Enjoy!!!!

We decided to take advantage of the extended snow season and wanted a hotel with a great location. After reading on the website what packages the hotel offered at certain times of the year it was clear that the restaurant would be closed for dinner. I actually phoned and was given greater detail about what I wanted and what was available including transport from ski tube to the hotel. Restaurant was only open for breakfast but there were a couple of great dinner options at nearby hotels. Downstairs at Jax is more a cafeteria and the salad bar looked suspiciously like it was yesterday's. We had a great room however I think the paper cups for tea and coffee are a little 'naff' and don't portray the hotel at a 'luxury' level. However Geoff the Manager was able to sort something out for us. In fact all the staff were helpful and friendly. Just loved being able to walk out the door, put on the skis and glide over to the Chairlift. Easy return too. I'd happily stay there again next season.

We decided on a fairly last minute late season extended weekend visit to Perisher considering the amount of snow and the fact the resort had extended the ski season. We got a 'room only' rate at the Perisher Valley hotel, and fair enough it was a discounted rate but we just assumed this was due to the Spring skiing conditions, and that we wouldn't be expecting peak season ski conditions. After booking and paying on the hotel website, we were emailed saying that the onsite hotel restaurant had closed for the season, and given a list of only 3 restaurants open in the valley. This was not on the website upon booking. Also, the hotel porter amenity for your luggage transfer from the ski tube to the hotel itself had finished for the season. Again, not on the website before we booked. So skis, boots, luggage etc all had to be carried from the ski tube. Maybe a note on the booking firm may not have gone astray. The resort is still very much open for business. Lift tickets still full price yet very few amenities still open for guests at the hotel. As for the rooms, clean and a decent size, yet very basic. Paper cups in your room for coffee or tea. King Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom small and basic but again, clean. The shower screen had jumped off its track so couldn't be closed. Lastly, while the main entrance to the hotel is virtually hidden from sight, we finally found it after walking through the food court downstairs, and asking several restaurant staff where to find it. The door to the hotel is essentially the dodgy fire stairs. Sure the hotel is a good location at the bottom of the mountain. Would I stay there again if being charged full season rates, even if everything was open, not on your life.

It has been my dream to stay at the Perisher Valley Hotel. I have stayed in other ski in ski out accommodation but I always thought being in the terminal would be the ultimate. Problem was the restaurant was closed for dinner and the options were limited. Jax Bar and Grill was the only one open in the terminal and I ended up with food poisoning on our first night. Lost my first day skiing and the following night out, although the options were further limited as The Man From Snowy River closed Saturday night so no option for Sunday night. Thankfully The Manor was open and we had a lovely meal. It also had a bar open with a fire. Perisher Valley Hotel gave us a list of dining options but The Manor wasn’t on the list and it was only one minute walk. We booked on Booking.com which didn’t say the restaurant was closed and it had nothing on the Perisher Valley Hotel website. It is a great location but I would only stay at the Perisher Valley Hotel again if dining in was an option and I will be looking into The Manor for my next visit to Perisher.

Over the last two ski seasons we have stayed at the Perisher Valley Hotel on four separate occasions. Weekends and for two periods of a week each. Plus we have dined in the restaurant when we were staying elsewhere. We have also stayed at many other hotels and lodges in Perisher over the years. Great customer service is about consistency and the PVH delivers seamlessly. They are several steps ahead of their Perisher competition. If you want a ski holiday with a convenient ski in ski out location, comfortable rooms, great food and fantastic service you will not do better that the PVH. Thanks to Geoffrey and the team for providing a friendly and welcoming high level of service. All you have to do is step out the door and enjoy your skiing. Great value with no hassles.
