Detailed Reviews
Valhalla Lodge is a great accommodation option if you are planning on hiking in the area. We did the complete Snowies Alpine Trail and it is in the perfect location as two of the walks start/end at the lodge. The food was tasty and satisfying - we really appreciated the main and dessert each night, the changing cooked breakfasts each morning and the packed lunches. Lodge manager Chris was excellent. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. He even helped us out with transport on one day. We also loved how quiet it was at night and the changing views from the front balcony each morning and evening after returning from a tough day on the trail. For the price it was really good value too as it included all the meals and a pre-dinner tray of snacks. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We hosted a training session for 10 attendees at Valhalla Perisher. The service, the rooms, the venue were magnificent.
Each day we were greeted with a fantastic breakfast, lunch, and dinner that saw us all eat way too much :)
We had the location to ourselves and were able to host training, go for walks, and use the venue to its maximum effect.
We look forward to hosting future training events here.
Thank you, Graeme, Jen and Kylie for being such attentive hosts.

Thanks so much Kell for the great review. It was a pleasure to work with you and your colleagues. Actually it has helped us identify the enormous potential we have in providing a private corporate retreat/training/event venue. We look forward to when we can accommodate another one of your training events in the future.

My wife and I had a wonderful week at Valhalla. It was a good thing we went out skiing each day to work off the delicious food Chef Jennifer served for breakfast and dinner e.g., confit duck, chicken fricassee, tandoori salmon and fantastic desserts. I ate every breakfast special. Canapés before dinner include sensational salt and pepper prawns and spanakopita. Front of house Graeme is very much a people person - welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable with a good dose of humour. Large and very comfortable rooms with en-suite, good space, storage and great mountain views. Lounge area very comfortable with fireplace (and pre-dinner drinks served by Graeme). Highly recommended.

I stayed there with my wife and 3yo for 4 nights. Our stay was nothing short of great. They accommodated our little one and were flexible with our food requests.
It's a short walk to the Perisher Skitube station and you can enjoy skiing during the day and be sure delicious food is waiting for you.
All the staff (especially Graeme and the chef Jennifer) are great and make you feel welcome the first moment you meet them.
To top it up, you can enjoy the great view of the snowy mountains from the longe.
I absolutely recommend them.

Many thanks for your lovely review. We loved having you at Valhalla. What a delight your daughter is. A real skier in the not too distant future, we are sure. We appreciated you sharing your nostalgic thoughts of your homeland when looking out the windows at the snow outside. We look forward to your return, winter or summer.

Our family stayed for Christmas and I can honestly say it was one of the best Christmas's we've ever had! The hospitality from Bruce was second to none; warm, generous, and sensitive to our needs. We were completely spoiled by wonderful meals and food, and the comfort of the lodge itself which was all decorated in Christmas spirit. The weather being cold and wet gave us a feel of a European Christmas; Smell of the log fire cosy and warm, games and drinks enjoyed by the fire, views of the mountains, the freshness of the air and even the walk in the fog to Porcupine Rocks.

Our visit to Valhalla was amazing and exceeded all expectations. It was our first time visiting Perisher and they couldn’t have made it any better. The food was amazing, the hospitality was first class, and the overall environment and location was beautiful. The team at Valhalla went out of their way to help us and even small touches did not go unnoticed e.g. remembering names. All the guests that stayed during our time there seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. On one of the nights we were staying we had a themed dinner which was amazing (I believe they do this every Saturday in June??) and even with the COVID situation and requirements in place, the accomodation still felt homely and was a great retreat after a day of skiing. We would absolutely stay again.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review your experience at Valhalla. We're so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We hold Yulefest at Valhalla each June, typically to the first Sunday of the NSW school holidays. Yule is the Viking Celebration of Winter Nights and we feature themed Yule Dinners each Saturday or Sunday night, based on the season. So glad you got to experience a Yule Dinner, they're a lot of fun. We really enjoyed your company last weekend and look forward to welcoming you both back to Valhalla in the future. Thanks for choosing to stay with us.

I recently spent 4 nights at Valhalla as part of a group of walkers. It was an absolute pleasure. We were made to feel right at home from the start. Clean spacious rooms, excellent meals and beautiful surroundings. We had memorable communal lounge gatherings each evening in front of the fire when it rained or on the deck when it was sunny. I can highly recommend a summertime visit to Snowy Mts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Valhalla. The lodge itself is well situated with incredible views. The hosts Graeme and Jen were warm and welcoming which added to our experience. The food is incredible as Jen is a trained chef, so every meal was made with skill and thoughtfulness. We would highly recommend this lodge for anyone travelling to Perisher.

Thank you to Graeme and Jen for making our stay at Valhalla this year so comfortable and relaxing.
Valhalla has such a cosy atmosphere, sitting by the fireplace in the afternoon watching the view was lovely.
The kids had a great time on the ping pong table everyday and the food was absolutely amazing every night!
