The Man is an institution at Perisher and always delivers. Friendly helpful staff and great management make this the place to stay for your ski holiday. While a bit outdated the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, the dining room serves an amazing dinner with a changing table d'hote menu and a great buffet breakfast. Close to the lifts and for those who drive the only undercover carpark in Perisher. The Pub and apres music for an after ski drink and entertainment we wouldn't stay anywhere else ❄

A late review for the winter season. My girlfriend Yasiman and I had several lovely trips to The Man throughout the 2020 season. As always the food was excellent - particularly for dinner. They catered well to my own vegan diet which was great. Despite not having the buffet due to COVID, the breakfast menu was also very well presented. Our evenings were complimented by excellent service, one person particularly worthy of note is Josh. He would always greet us with a smile & would check in throughout the night. He made us feel extremely welcome & also made some excellent cocktails !! Hoping to see you again next year. In terms of the location, you can't really beat it. Both times, there was enough snow to ski down to the bridge that leads to the lifts. And it's far enough away that you don't get a lot of the noise from the groomers. However, that being said, the rooms somewhat underwhelming with quite hard mattresses and poor noise proofing throughout the building. The value for money definitely stems from the location & food. Despite this, it still seems to be some of the best accommodation with parking that you can get on the mountain.

Friendly Staff, fantastic service, excellent quality of food the best location and parking. We have stayed in other hotels and resorts at Perisher but from now on the man from snowy river will be where we will be staying in our future visits to Perisher. The ability to be able to drive and park in covered under ground parking was unique. The rooms are a bit dated and need update. But they are clean and freshly painted. The lobby with three fire places live music. The ambience vow what more could I say. The chef and the food and the service are second to non. They are of high standards. The hotel staff and their service exceeded our expectations with all limitations of COVID 19 I met a lady who has been staying here for the last 30 years. She told us the service is the same year and year out despite change of managers over the years. It’s location across ski tube terminal is so convenient. Only a short walk to chair lifts you do not need transport. You do not need over snow transport just walk from terminal to hotel.the staff are very happy to help with your luggage just call them.they are so friendly.
Thank you team for making our snow holiday an experience to remember. See you next time.

We attempted to have lunch at The Man. We ran into the same problem as last year. A difficult young lady at the entrance and this year a difficult owner who was not wearing his mask. Funny how he knew the rules but was not applying them for himself.
Warning: If you are from greater Sydney but have been outside since before the lockdowns they will still not allow you in and deny service. Despite covid tests etc. They claim to follow the “gazette” but they have created their own interpretation of the rules. When they ask you to show your bank details to confirm you were outside NSW since 1st June don’t do this. Your bank details are your business. It’s their business and they san run it like they want regardless of rules. We chose a different hotel this year for the same type of hard rule interpretations last year and made the mistake to try going there for lunch. We now won’t bother to book the premises and so have 3 other families with us. Vote with our feet forever ! We however recommend the massage run by Sharon. it’s the best and the front desk seems to know how the stay at home orders work so you won’t have trouble to enter if you follow them.

What do I mean? If it were down to the food and the staff only, this would be a five star review. Ditto the on-site undercover parking. However the accommodation itself is tired, so tired. Threadbare carpet, worn out beds/bedding, inefficient heating that keeps heads hot and feet cold, and the runaway afternoon heating of those rooms facing west. But worst of all are the paper thin walls/doors through which you can hear everything, literally everything! A thorough refurbishment is long overdue.

Terrible service. I felt like the staff didn’t care and were rude. In particular the lady who appeared to be running the show she was not nice at all/ The staff were very rude. Drinks service was slow and food was average. We won’t be back. We could not believe how bad it was. Worst venue in Perisher!

Public Bar has Welcoming area and environment, scan the app for contactless check in with table service. Great view of Perisher while kicking back inside, away from the cold and the fireplace cracking away. Live music on weekends. Good to see XXXX Gold on tap, good variety of drinks, limited cocktails unless you are a guest. Im not usually a burger for lunch person, 3rd time back i got one, and very well put together burger, whilst is a get what you pay for, good infusion of meat, mayo and salad. Kids Nuggets, cant get that wrong of course. If i didnt pay for ski passes, I/we could have sat their all day, think of it as a sports bar in the snow.

Having not stayed in Perisher on the snow before we were very excited to get a last minute deal at The Man from Snowy River. Being able to park underground at the hotel is such a massive bonus. From the moment we checked in to check out everything was AMAZING. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and provided everything we needed.
The main event for us - apart from the skiing- was the incredible food and the restaurant & bar service! WOW we were blown away with the fine dining options every evening. The quality of the food and flavours presented dish after dish were delicious - well done. The service in the restaurant and bar was also exceptional, a testament to the management team. We look forward to returning next year Adrienne & Paul

food is great but the staff are the worst hospitality team I have ever experienced. We went with a group of friends and were treated so poorly by the staff at the man. The bar staff were so bloody rude & the kitchen staff were very blunt and unfriendly
