have stayed at this motel many times over the past 20 years when visiting relatives at Peak Hill, always found motel to be clean and tidy and the owners very hospitable and friendly. Not this time, we did the wrong thing and parked not in our spot, it was late at night we had just returned from a family funeral and wake there was no car in the spot so didnt think it a problem to park there until the owner came banging on our car window and abused us, she carried on with such a tirade that we were in shock, a simple not your spot could you please park out the front would have sufficed. Than as she walked away she was over heard calling us a very derogatory name. Very unprofessional. We had paid to stay another night but forewent the accommodation and moved on the next morning after this encounter.…
The room was clean and tidy nothing special. Could do with an update, hasn’t changed in many years. But unfortunately the management is a lot to be desired. We have stayed in the hotel many times over the last 18-20 years if not longer as we have family in Peak Hill. We recently stayed to attend a family funeral. A few of us returned to the hotel after the wake to the manger banging on the car window having a go at the driver for parking in the wrong car space. Mind you when we arrived earlier in the day we could not park In half of the car park as they had all The sheets and towels hanging from one side to The other. Also The car spaces are not numbered so we were unaware of designated parking spaces. The driver proceeded to advise she was unaware and would move to then be spoken over and yelled at. Then as the manager walked back to the office yelled ‘f**king bogans’. A simple sorry can you move your car would have sufficed. Well done to Manager from that disgraceful case of customer service you just lost our booking from here on out and when our family head to this small town we generally book out the hotel as there are so many of us. So congratulations to you!…
Lovely little motel, great staff so welcoming. Comfortable beds and very clean and all you need. Showers have great water pressure . 2 minutes walk to RSL with good Chinese restaurant. Well tended and beautiful gardens. Will stay again. Lovely park and local pool nearby.
Average and typical motel room. Had all the usual things. The shower stall floor was stained and this gave it a look of being filthy. Very tired bathroom. Ok for one night only. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Wi-Fi did not work.
Well, the best, friendly reception in a long while. The room and entire establishment is perfectly furnished, sooooo neat, clean, tidy and comfortable. Wow, it just can't get any better!! Thank you and well done. We shall be back.
Arrived on Saturday, needed 2 rooms and town nearly booked out. Rang and found they had 1 room left. Owner said give me 5 and I will see if I can get a couple of girls travelling together to share. Phone rings, she can fit us in. Great country town service.
Thank-you guys for making our stay in Peak Hill so lovely. We had the family room at The Country Roads Motel after celebrating a family wedding. The room was spacious and so clean. We were surprised at how comfy we were. I would certainly recommend this gem in the central west.
This is a great stop over when traveling the NSW Central West. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms and the hosts are courteous and friendly. The courtyard layout of the motel makes car parking very secure with easy access to rooms. Just a short walk to the services club or hotel where good and cheap meals can be found. A great town.
Looking for an overnight stop heading south .....this family run motel is good ... It is well presented and while there is no restaurant a good breakfast menu is available A positive is definitely the location as evening meals in the town ...with the exception of the Chinese restaurant in the service club which is over the road ..and not open Mon evenings ....are almost non existent Would stay again
