Staff were friendly and helpful. Room well equipped. Great bed. Very short walk to supermarket and shops. Ten minute walk to the bay and tourist area. National Parks with very scenic walks of various lengths are short drive away. Saw dolphins!

hi Jules if I had seen this post first I would have made sure that the room I booked had block-out curtains. We stayed in room 208b last night and got woken up at 6.30 with the sun, It looks like the management of this place does not want to spend any money on making sure their visitors make a return visit ,or bad word of mouth to their friends. I will be spreading the word about this dump, not doing anything about the curtains since your review , 4 months is a long time and the rooms are not cheap
The question is would the missing block-out curtain cause you not to return

Hi Luis. I'm sorry to hear about your experience, I really would have thought that management would be on to fixing all rooms with curtains once the issue was highlighted. In fact, one thing I just noticed in the manager's response to my review was that there was no acknowledgement about the curtain issue at all.
Whilst I agree that having no curtains can ruin a stay, as lack of sleep doesn't encourage anyone to get into holiday mode, I think everything else at Oaks Lure was well done. I will probably return, but I will be checking for curtains on arrival, and won't be accepting "no" as an option if they are not forthcoming.
