Detailed Reviews
We go here every couple of years from the UK. Every time we have been, the apartment and complex have been consistently excellent. The apartments are spacious and clean and the complex is always well maintained. Pam the manager is brilliant, she is so friendly and helpful, she really does make it feel like a home from home for us. The complex itself is in a great location, there are lovely views of the bay and it is really close to the town centre and all the bars and restaurants, of which there are many! It is also 2 minutes walk away from Woolworths, which is ideal for stocking up on all your provisions, no need to drive anywhere. I would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Nelson Bay.

We absolutely loved our stay! We stayed in Apartment 38, a 3 bed, 2 bathroom apartment which overlooked the pool with some district views.
The apartment & all common areas (including the lifts and pool area) were spotlessly clean.
The pool area was the perfect size & never felt too crowded despite a fair few people around. The pool was heated so a nice temperature for the kids.
The complex is very secure with each lift only having access to two apartments on each floor & lift codes only giving access to your floor.
A large Woolworths is a few doors down & restaurants a 5min walk or less. Great location.
We had a great time & will be back! Many thanks.

The apartment in which my family and I stayed was lovely - spacious rooms, balcony, generally well-appointed with access to a communal pool and within easy walking distance of Nelson Bay town centre and The Marina. However, my past experiences with AirBnB in NSW have given me certain expectations which were not met in this instance. Firstly, the cooking facilities were extremely inefficient, the heating elements on the stove top did not work properly so that food took ages to cook and so much smoke billowed forth that we had to wave it away from the smoke detectors whenever we were using them. Secondly, there was no internet connection until the last day of our stay when we were packing up to leave. I understand that this was caused by a storm, and therefore nobody's fault. However, we were not forewarned about this and only told upon our arrival, which was very inconvenient as three of us needed the internet to work. There was no offer of recompense. Thirdly, there were minimal cleaning products available, including dishwasher tablets, and yet there were signs warning of a fee if the apartment was left in an unsatisfactory state. Fourthly, the set-up for entering and exiting the property is quite awkward and could be much more streamlined for the greater convenience of the guests. Lastly, there should be a toilet near the pool, instead of expecting guests to traipse, dripping wet, back to their apartments, whenever the need arises. This is particularly relevant in the case of small children whose need to 'go' is always urgent. In the past, I have found Air BnB hosts to provide a little more in the way of small items such as toiletries, condiments, bottled water etc. On the plus side, we were allowed a later check out at 11.00 am, even if housekeeping knocked on our door half an hour early before we were dressed. Overall, this is a good place to stay, but could do with a little tweaking.

We were very happy with this comfortable apartment. Big and roomy with a large balcony area and all mod cons. The apartment was fully air conditioned with a large kitchen, washing machine etc. We will be back!

This is the 5th time here with my family, the accommodation is great, from the fully functional kitchen to the comfy beds and leather lounges. The heated pool is awesome and the location is great a very short walk to all the restaurants and shops.

This hotel has it all, great location and amenities, it’s very clean, and their customer service is above average. The hotel is very well located, near shopping, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets.
We were offered a late check out which was really convenient to us.
I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I left an ear pod in the room, and it was no effort or trouble returning it to me. I can’t wait to go back.

My family has been going to Nelson Bay and Part Stephens for over 30 years and have stayed in many different Hotels and Units - None compare to Cote D'Azur.
Our beautiful holiday was made perfect staying in a couple of luxury rooms in January.
Both units were 3 bedroom modern and well appointed with spectacular water views. The rooms were spacious and immaculate and the amenities including heated swimming pool, BBQ area and gymnasium were perfect additions when we weren't out and about.
Located right in the heart of Nelson bay its only minutes away from shops, hotels, restaurants and the beach.
Thanks so much to Pam (Manager) who was so helpful with our Covid safe check-in and throughout our stay.
Anyone going to Port Stephens and particularly Nelson Bay should treat themselves to a stay at Cote D'Azur. I will be back next year and will look forward to Cote D'Azur just as much as I look forward to beautiful Port Stephens.

We stayed here between the 15th and 18th of October. We won't be back. The lighting and fans didn't work in the master bedroom, or the ensuite. There was a foul odur coming from the master bedroom, after inspection, it was found that there was a babies bottle that had been there for so long that the milk in it had gone off, separated and went mouldy, it was awful. The only light in the master bedroom that worked was in the foyer, the oven was filthy it had greasy foil in it and stunk from the previous guests. I emailed them on the Monday after we returned, waited for a week and still no reply. Piss poor customer service. They only care about the money you bring, not the experience that you have.

Response from Pamela Gilbert, Owner at Côte D'Azur
Responded 27 Oct 2020
Dear Tommy, Dear me , what a to do it all seems. The fans and lighting in the master bedroom do work , however they are all on the remote control that was in your room , but I guess it's an easy thing to overlook for sure...but i'm at a loss to understand why you would not come and see Reception during your visit, we would have attended to all your grievances in a heartbeat , we hate aggrieved guests and so do our level best to make everything serene. We are sorry that you chose not to report such findings earlier, especially putting up with a foul odour upon arrival, goodness, no one needs to put up with that . I agree wholeheartedly with the finding of the babies bottle , what a let down on the cleanliness scale . I checked the oven and I found it be clean , definitely no stink from the oven apparent to my reasonably sensitive nose but I have relayed your concerns to the housekeeping staff for future reference. We would welcome you back with open arms if you ever choose to revisit , and would make sure that everything was ticketty- boo before and during your stay. Regardless of your opinion, we care deeply about our guests experience and want you to have the same first class visit . Regards,

Hi Maree,
Our stay at Cote D'Azur was so memorable. The décor of the 2 bedroom accommodation was smart, modern, very clean and extremely comfortable....and as for the kitchen WOW! I mentioned there was a cozy reading nook with a bookcase filled with books for the whole family. The balcony was spacious with a pleasant view out towards the water.
We would loved to have stayed a week.
Needless to say I don't relate to your comments at all. and think they are unreasonable. There are occasions when some places don't hit the spot for one reason or another.but Cote D'Azur isn't one of them and it will be our choice next time we stay in Nelson Bay.
Hi, we supply self contained apartments which cover all your needs for your stay. We have a large decked bbq area and heated swimming pool with sun lounges for our guests use. You can see photos of our apartments and outside areas on our website
