Detailed Reviews
We are a couple in our early fifties, travelling with a large dog. We booked a waterfront powered caravan site at this gem of a park and were absolutely smitten by the gorgeous location. Unparalleled views across the water, abundant birdlife, evening visits from dolphins right out in front of our site. Super friendly fellow campers and travellers added to a delightful experience... From the initial friendly welcome and escort to our site and the consistently courteous, genuine service throughout our stay, we were impressed by the park's professional team and applaud their maintenance of spotless (yet dated - charmingly so) amenities and modern laundry equipment . It's an easy flat walk to nearby cafes, a gorgeous boardwalk out to the V-wall and other local attractions. This is not the park for those seeking jumping pillows, waterslides or pathways for scooters or skateboards - this is a very beautiful location with a nostalgic laid back vibe for those who want to be close to the action but feel a million miles away from everything but blue waters and...ah...the serenity. Can't wait to return!

I think best place to stay in Nambucca Heads. Stayed in a one bedroom cabin with verandah and right on the water. Cabin was extra clean and staff, even maintenance man, extremely friendly. Very handy coffee shop/ cafe opposite with good selection of food and drinks. Handy to walk to town (although up a steep hill) Nambucca Plaza in opposite direction, also very close and a lovely RSL club also on the doorstep but they do offer a courtesy bus. If it’s just two of you, highly recommend cabin number 5. On the end and balcony looking over the stunning view of the water. Free WIFI also. Need to bring own linen but can hire if need be. Also need own tea coffee etc as a cabin not a motel room. Enjoy.

Very tidy park. The manager that saw to us was very pleasant and accommodating. Our cabin we had was very clean and comfortable. The location of the park was close to town. A nice walk. Also a bike path that took you along a boardwalk to the beach.
We will definitely be returning with our van to stay longer.

Powered site right on the water with amazing views. Super clean amenities and showers with great pressure. Great park and would highly recommend for anyone to stay for a night or a month or more. I've been in heaps of caravan parks and this is one of the best. River shallow and calm for kids and surf is just beyond. Staff super helpful and lovely. Not a single negative in the slightest. Thanks Tony for an awesome stay. Sean and A mm Elia

Beautiful outlook, close to the water, but very small caravan sites, almost touching each other. The road is gravel, so everytime a car drives past or somebody walks past, it is very loud & dusty. The amenities block is old, but very clean.

My husband and I stayed in a cabin for one night on 26th October. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We did not have a river view cabin, however we were only one cabin away. The cabins were comfortable and roomy although not as new as some we stayed in later in our trip. The walls were timber veneer which gives a dated look and the light on the wall above the bed was hanging off, although when we reported this on leaving the owner immediately investigated. Likewise when we had difficulty opening the sliding door the owner was very helpful There was a small table and chairs on the balcony where we thought we could enjoy a pre-dinner drink but we noticed sandflies almost straight away so could not sit there. We had pre-booked the accommodation so knew about the linen and had our own, otherwise there would have been a further $20 linen charge. One of the best things about the park is the availability of a wonderful fish and chip shop across the road with some of the best fish we've eaten. There are other eateries nearby, namely RSL and bowls club which were within walking distance but not right next door. On the whole, as we were only staying the one night the cabin was satisfactory but if one was planning a longer stay, maybe a river view cabin would be better.

We have stayed here many times over the past 15 years. Nambucca Heads is a great destination with good climate, shopping and clubs. This is a relatively small park with clean amenities (which would benefit from an update), and is right next door to the excellent Island golf club. The park has changed little over the years, has a handy cafe opposite the entrance, and some sites have pleasant waterfront. A few negatives, the sites are pretty small, and in the ameneties there is no hand dryer, paper towels and often no soap in the dispenser. These are a given anywhere else! The owners are nice, friendly folk.

We spent 4 night at the Foreshore Caravan Park Cabin No 2. The views were spectacular, absolute river frontage & a walk to the shops. Sadly had to drive to the beaches which are well hidden and hard to find.and get to.The caravan park however was very very disappointing. The advertisement said "near new' as the description of the cabin. Well if a 30 year old van is near new I am now concerned about what is allowed in the advertisements of accomodation. The place was small and poorly cleaned. All the furniture was more than dated. Rusty old dining table & chairs, curtains needed throwing out not just cleaning. China was old and mismatched. Hole in the drain of the shower. I don't understand how managers & owners of these premises cannot see the grime. We won't be back.
