This is a great place to stay - small number of rooms, great view of the river, very reasonable rates. The manager goes out of his way to be helpful. There are many quirky aspects to the hostel, which include free ice cream at night. It is within walking distance of the town centre where there are lots of great... More

Murwillumbah is a personal favourite of mine to stop when road-tripping down the East coast from the Gold Coast to Sydney. Set in the stunning Northern Rivers region, in the vicinity of the glorious Mt Warning, Murwillumbah is an emerald of the region. The YHA property is a character of its own, you can hardly miss its colourful walls as... More

A nice little place for getting a rest if you're bored from all the beaches and the "fast Lifestyle" from the coast. The town itself is a sleepy town with specific. Good for a break with a famous art gallery and the Mount Warning national park close. The hostel Is very chilliy with a nice host and a relaxed and... More

Cute little town. Good shops and great for a stroll. Hostel is in prime location with access to the river, inner tubes, bikes and kayaks and town. Parking on the road, none if you come during work hours. Library across the road. Free wifi. Tassie, the dude who runs the place, has great info on the area and is accommodating... More

I was heading to Byron for NYE and trying to decide whether to stay at home for 3 nights or try a local YHA, I'm so glad I did. I thought I would get bored, but in the end I was quite content just to take my time. It's small but it has everything you need in facilities with TV... More

Ahhh ... what should I tell you about this place? I've been coming here for over 15 years at all times of the year but especially for January summer holidays. True bliss. Far from the maddening crowd at Byron Bay or the Gold Coast YHA's sits a serene, peaceful, wonderful little YHA sitting under the gaze of Mt. Warning and... More

A lovely quiet small hostel. Super stunning views from the back porch. Best hostel I have stayed at in Eastern Australia. The town is very nice too with many food choices on offer and friendly people. I highly recommend a hike up Mount Warning/Wollumbin.
