Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent large 1 bedroom apartment. Very comfortable bed with heaps of blankets for the cool weather we experienced. Lots of hot water and good shower in a modern ensuite. Very large lounge and dining space with air conditioner along with a wall heater that heated up the apartment really well. Kitchen was really well set up and we cooked all our dinners easily with the utensils provided. Loved the homemade multigrain bread left in the kitchen along with farm fresh eggs, bacon, milk, yoghurt, butter. Beautiful sunsets can be viewed from the patio and the views of the garden and hills in the distance are stunning. Also very quiet but still so close to Moruya which has 2 good sized grocery stores and then the options of what to do are vast. We did 2 stunning bike rides - highly recommend the bike rides at Tuross and then from Dalmeny to Narooma. Mogo zoo is not far and then a drive up to Batemans bay for a seafood lunch is very doable too. You will not want to leave - great spot and sorry forgot to mention that Esther is really lovely. Helpful, friendly and easy to talk to but also gives you the space to do your own thing

Very comfortable and very clean. We could have stayed longer. Esther and Tony are terrific hosts. The loaf of fresh-cooked bread was unexpected but a very nice touch. Fred the Maremma is a beautiful dog that guards the 8 sheep and chickens. Thoroughly recommend. John and Uli.

A lovely country farm-style B&B, only 3 km out of Moruya, but felt like much further away. John and Sandra were excellent hosts (along with Satin the dog), with lots of local knowledge on offer. The Tuesday local market is a must. The self-contained lodgings are excellent - Small but functional kitchenette, with ample breakfast ingredients at the ready (especially the yummy freshly laid eggs), very roomy living area, free Wifi, comfy bed and all spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay there again when visiting this beautiful area of southern NSW.

We did not receive the service or cleanliness expected from a B&B with a star rating of 4 1/2. We were careful to book B&B well in advance as it was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to relax without the chore of cooking breakfast and washing dishes. We own and operate our own 4 1/2 star B&B and expected our host to cook the breakfast, but instead we were shown to the kitchen where the breakfast provisions were supplied in the fridge, and were advised that they no longer cook breakfast for guests and they were now self contained. The tariff remained the same as when we booked. The cooking utensils were poor quality and food stuck to the pans. Mugs and kettle were well stained, and no apron was provided.

The bed side glass topped tables were filthy along with the mirror in the bedroom. The linen however was clean and the bed comfortable. The best we can say is it was warm with adequate heating, but no electric blanket..

This B&B experince was not the best it should have been. Thank you for the bottle of bubbly but we declined to accept it.

We were very surprised to see this review and can only assume that their adverse comments were influenced by their disappointment at having to cater for themselves during their stay. These guests were made aware of our change to self catering by email prior to booking, (we have correspondence that verifies this) and also from our website which they would have viewed prior to selecting between cottage and suite. It was also discussed by phone. With regard to other observations they make we can only be guided by the many favourable comments we receive from a host of regular visitors, both before and after our change to self catering. In fact we would offer a full refund to any future guest who was not completely satisfied with all aspects of their stay with us.

My partner and I stayed at Bryn & Glas for our first year anniversary and for a break away from working and city life.

I am very pleased to report that I time away was spent well and we thoroughly enjoyed the good sized and clean cottage setting located well away from the main house, providing us with some privacy.

We were given the supplements for making ourself breakfast in the morning with eggs, and bacon and freshly baked bread which was all very delightful.

The one problem we had was resolved for us in a matter of minutes by John who was very apologetic and offered a discount, this generosity at such a minor issue was very much a surprise but refreshing as not everyone would trek down late at night to fix something that could wait until morning.

We enjoyed our stay very much so and would highly recommend anyone looking to have a weekend away. This is the perfect getaway for any couple wanting some quality time to spend with each other.

Don't let the mere 3 1/2 stars deter you from booking with John and Sandra at the cottage you won't regret it!

We spent 3 nights at Bryn Glas relaxing on our way to visit family. Esther our host gave us a warm welcome complete with bread she had freshly baked. We loved having farm fresh eggs each morning for breakfast with bacon. We sat inside or on the verandah where we could gaze into the distant mountains. Our apartment was well set up with everything we could possible need and having our own entry assured privacy. Being off the highway meant it was quiet as well. A baby or small child would be safe here too.

John and Sandra were excellent hosts. The location was lovely, quiet and relaxing. Fresh eggs were provided for a cook your own breakfast and all facilities were fine. The bed was comfortable. John even drove us to a local restaurant, The River which was excellent. We will definately stay again.

We came down from Canberra for the Jazz Festival and found Bryn Glas to be just what we needed. Close enough to town that we could be there within 10 minutes, yet far enough out to be quiet and peaceful. John and Sandra were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The unit was very comfortable and we wanted for nothing. Lovely farm fresh eggs and home made bread for breakfast. It was great.

Bryn Glas was delightful; there is a spectacular view (over hills and mountains) from the front balcony. The breakfast supplies were great, we loved the eggs (you can meet the friendly chickens, who ran to the fence when you walk past), fruit, yogurt and homemade bread!!! Inside everything was spotless, and the gardens were immaculate.

The owners were lovely people, they couldn't do enough for you, and their very well behaved doggie Satin was a delight. Moruya is a lovely community, hope you enjoy it as much as my fiancée and I did!

We booked via details of a local tourist map, so John & Sandra were not aware we were in the industry, so I can unequivocally say we had a lovely time and can thoroughly recommend.

We stayed in the self-contained apartment adjoining the home and it was great, daily supplies and all we could need. Any local info John knows and was keen to ensure we saw local attractions.

Free wireless broadband was a great benefit for us.
Thanks, we may be back one day!
