We arrived late in the evening to stop at Moruya to stay for the night towards our journey to Melbourne. The staff was friendly and helpful. We chose the room with attached toilet (we are not used to B&B style). The room were big but it cost us AUD$149 as it was an Easter weekends. The bed was comfortable and...

This hotel has history and the "quarry bar" celebrates the fact that the granite for Sydney Harbour Bridge was quarried near by. But oddly, the pub was almost empty with just a couple of locals drinking on a night when the nearby Waterfront hotel was packed. The double room for $99 was so cramped that the bed was pushed against...

This lovely country hotel, clean and comfy, great staff , helpful and friendly. I would recommend the Monarch Hotel as a must do, experience whilst in Moruya .Located the main street of Mourya , close to other venues. Remember thou, this is a country town,so try and eat by 6:30/7.00.

I had an interesting experience with the monarch hotel. I booked a room on Priceline and arrived late. When I got there nobody was at the reception desk and there were locals in the bar that let me in. Someone was nice enough to call the owner and he yelled at me on the phone for waking him up. He...

If you are looking for the latest in interior design or 5+ star luxury then stay away. But if you like quaint and quirky then the Monarch Hotel is for you. First built in 1866 and rebuilt in 1939 you are greeting with a mixture of old world charm with a little (but no too much modernity) thrown in. I...

The room was satisfactory but the breakfast which was included in the price was not obtainable as the dining room was not open. We were informed that the dining room was open between 0730 hrs and 0830 hrs. There was no one in reception to assist. Also the price on line advertised was less than what we were charged.

Only booked for one night with a group of fellow sun-worshippers.The hotel is as quirky as anything. Wonderful whacky decor , Sunset Strip in the sixties. The owner friendly and helpful. A very quiet time of the year for Moruya and not many people about. A few of the regulars wouldn't be out of place in a Tom Waits song....

Considering my room was on highway side and being a hotel It was very quiet and I had the best night sleep in the comfy bed with lovely clean sheets. The room was very clean and the bathroom was shiny clean with soap shampoo etc. There was a TV and microwave in room as well as tea coffee and biscuits...

The hotel is on the main street; rooms are clean and bright; the simple breakfast includes percolated coffee .Built in 1939, it retains some charming period art deco features, mixed up with a 70s yellow-brown dining room and a small backyard done in garish colours and adorned with much greenery including a banana palm. The staff are affable. My only...
