Detailed Reviews
Hi, I travel all of NSW for my work and when possible stay in cabins at caravan parks, I find the nature of the people staying at parks friendly and welcoming which is a pleasure when away from home. My family also have a van and travel when possible.
This park is a hidden gem, clean, great size van sites, extremely clean amenities, family staff and overall a lovely place to stay.
I stayed in a cabin which was as clean as the day it arrived onsite with a great size veranda overlooking a tree lined park. The cabin came with all the usual items plus a couple of surprises (throw rubs, fans and air con, outdoor setting, etc).
Having travelled for the past 25yrs this would be one of the most comfortable parks I have stayed and I will be making it my place to stay when working and travelling with family in the southern highlands.

We stayed at Mittagong Caravan Park for 2 nights on our way south in our Caravan, and were immediately impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They were all very welcoming after a long day of travel. The sites are well maintained, with easy access to power, water, rubbish bins and the dump point.
Facilities were also very clean.
If you are towing a van, I highly recommend staying here which will give you great access to the surrounding areas.
Will definitely stay again

Recent stay in a Budget Cabins (studio), was compact, clean & comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The double bed was comfortable and pushed against a wall. The location of the park was great, easy walking to Mittagong town centre, noise from Highway and trains is heard at night. In hindsight, we should have booked a two bedroom cabin for the two people for a more comfortable 4 night stay, there were newer cabins also to choose from.
The caravan sites were varied and better sites were towards the middle of the park (nearer to bathroom facilities). Our group also travels with dogs (in caravan's) and there were plenty of walking areas outside the park. Southern Highlands caters well for dogs in general.

This park is situated right in the highway and only about 100 m from a very busy train line, so be prepared for constant road noise and the rumble of trains and trucks through the night.
BUT the park is very neat ( though the site we stayed on was a bit squishy for our 18 foot van) the staff were extremely helpful and there’s plenty of hot water. Not sure if I’d go there in winter as the amenities are fairly open to the elements having fixed, open timber louvers rather than enclosed walls
All in all it is the only park in the area and it’s fine for a quick stopover in a beautiful part of NSW

We have travelled regularly for over 20 years and have spent a great amount of nights in a large number of caravan parks. After the past 2 weeks travelling the entire south coast of NSW we have stayed in a number of Caravan Parks and all have been from reasonable to Excellent, Until now.
We requested a non powered site as power was not needed. We were given site D !
D is for Disappointing

The Ferralls living behind our site were not only living like rats, it stunk.
They argued and swore loudly all night until one left at 4am in his car, the lady then continued to rattle & bang until the sun came up. She than wandered around yelling into her phone for another hour.
Talk about trailer trash.
Apart from this the staff were incredible, the amenities whilst being outdated were very clean and sufficient.

We headed to Mittagong for my childs rugby comp, taking the camper to make a weekend of it for the family and were delighted with the town, picturesque scenery, and so close to Bowral.
Mittagong Caravan park has great amenities, service is outstanding and if you need to cool down or stay warm Mittagong heated public pool is a short cut across the oval beside the caravan park. Close drive to Alexandria lake and park which the children enjoyed feeding bread to the ducks, playing on the playground and rollerskating around the lake.
Only downside for us was having a toddler in tow when all sites are next to the drive through road in the caravan park can be abit stressfull.
Recommend a visit whether staying in a cabin, caravan or tent 😁

The park is in a convenient location in Mittagong and is a 5 minutes walk to the Glass Bistro at the Golf Club for coffee or a lovely meal. It’s about a 15 minute walk to Lake Alexandra reserve. The premium highlander cabin was fresh, new and very comfortable. It had reverse cycle air conditioning in the living room plus ceiling fans in the living room and the main bedroom. The cabin was quite spacious. The team at Mittagong Caravan Park were very friendly and helpful and we did not experience any problems such as noise. I loved that the cabin was well stocked with kitchen utensils, and there were nice little touches such as some mints on the table, a large rainfall shower head and leafy plants outside, There was good-sized table and outdoor chairs on the verandah. The price was reasonable for the size and comfort offered by the cabin and the friendly atmosphere. We will stay again the next time we are in the area.

I travelled with my brother during a difficult time & in the middle of the worst bushfires. Our 2 bedroom cabin was suprisingly spacious, with kitchen, tv room & bathroom. The beds were clean and comfortable & the kitchen was stocked well to enable basic cooking & more than adequate fridge.
The aircon was awesome and kept most of the smoke smell out.
The park was full with all age groups yet never noisy. A big part of what made this a greatplace to stay were the owners and staff. They all went out of their way to ensure our comfort and more importantly our safety as the fires could change direction at any time.
If ever I need to travel that way again I will seriously consider going by road as the park is also dog friendly.

The Berrima cabin had everything I needed, but the friendly check-in, heating already on, cleanliness and styling of the room made it special. There was a throw rug on the bed also one on a chair, mints on the bed and a welcoming text, indicating a willingness to assist with any further needs.
I'll be back for sure.

Lovely park, the office lady was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had trouble getting our van to fit on the site, and got very good advise and help from the park manager. The shower rooms were so well set up with safety matting in each shower base and cubicle. What a great safety innovation, and also kept the cubicle nice and dry, I whish more camps did this. A great stay and will certainly be back if in the area again.
