Stayed 2 nights mid October on a deal. Supposed to have drinks and nibblies included - didn't happen. Had to ask for the fire to be lit on the 2nd night as it wasn't done on 1st night. When we enquired as to why it wasn't lit the first night were told that we could have done it ourselves -... More

Took 20 minutes to serve the whole party of 40 ish dried beef wellington and fried chicken. ( Please don't tell me it was supposed to be duck confit..) Dessert consisted of sticky date pudding or a mousse/jelly type mould. $ 60 per person....The best part was asking the waitress for a teaspoon, to help my child eat dessert, with... More

Our first time here, not sure why as we are local. So impressive from the beginning to end. The atmosphere is lovely, we had a brilliant harpist entertaining us all evening. Local wines are on offer, the menu divine and the service excellent! Lovely open fire, beautifully decorated dining area & surrounds.

A place of old charm dating back to the early 1800's, wonderful and warming atmosphere with hidden nocks and rooms with a very relaxed feel. The room tastefully decorated, although older style with all the modern facilities. We stayed in one of the attic rooms in the front of the building, wooden ceiling, even creaking floorboards all added to the... More

Stayed here for a weekend recently. The place is old, so you expect some cracks and creaks here and there. The good: 1. Location 2. Charm 3. Restaurant- very nice food and service 4. Lounge rooms with open fire and pool table 5. The gardens The bad 1. Not worth the silly prices charged. It's a nice place but not... More

Recently stayed in historic Fitzroy Inn at Mittagong for two nights and really enjoyed our time there. Beautiful old building, plenty of areas to relax in, lovely garden surrounding the inn and a friendly and helpful host. We also enjoyed the company of two friendly and delightful little dachshunds who also live there. Everything combined to make our stay enjoyable... More

We wanted a getaway from sydney to unwind and relax. John greeted us at 8pm and showed us around the inn and to our room no. 10. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant which was good. We hit the sack about 11pm and by 1am we were still awake as the king size bed felt like a lump of... More

Managed to get a good rate at this historic Inn......what an absolute pleasure to visit a place with such charm and grace. The Inn may not suit a lot of people....its very old, but beautifully restored and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. It has 3 beautiful sitting rooms with open fires and a billiard... More

What a lovely place to stay, We felt very relaxed and cared for. We didn't have enough time to fully explore the grounds but we did spend time in the house. Sat in one of the beautifully furnished lounges, lit the fire, read and had a glass of wine. Couldn't have been better. Also had a delicious dinner (impromptu as... More

Visited this motel for a couples weekend getaway. The place has an old world charm and has recreated an old English country home feel very well. The lounge rooms with sumptuous couches and fittings , a billiards room, a huge garden with lavenders, tulips and citrus trees was very enjoyable. The tennis court is well laid out. There was a...
