Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent 3 nights camping at Wollondilly River Station with our dog. Mid-week/mid-term meant we had the place to ourselves. There was one other couple there the first night, but so far away we couldn't see or hear them. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, bird-watching, and watching the platypuses on the river every afternoon. We were permitted a campfire on the first night, which was great, but on the second day Ina, the property owner, came by to say no more - the other couple hadn't put out their fire properly when leaving, apparently a common occurrence. A shame to miss out because of other people being irresponsible.

Absolutely beautiful place. But the owner Ina spoils an awesome place. No fires until 630pm. If you light your fire for dinner early she will yell at you. It's her way or the highway which is ok, it's her property but it makes a weekend camping trip not worth coming here.

Fantastic weekend getaway with space , fresh air and a river at your doorstep. Remote enough to keep the Sydney masses away but close enough if you make a little effort on get there. The drive in was spectacular and the site and toilets clean and fresh.

A pretty crazy drive in but well-worth it when you arrive at the ford. water is deep above the ford and nice rapids below. we go as family trip nearly every year.... its really nice down there. such secluded campsites, you dont have to worry about anyone else and pretty much private toilets.

The one hour drive inland from Mittagong was one of the toughest and roughest roads I’ve ever been on! Bendy, rocky, narrow and seemingly never-ending (: Thankfully it was daylight and dry. However once there, it is a beautiful scenic camping spot. Stunning setting. It was fairly red/brown, barely flowing river water when we were there but it was still nice and clean-feeling to swim in, once in. Good fires, walks. Very basic toilet. The service ... no pleasantries!; the bare minimum but functional enough. It’s an interesting spot. If you enjoy a few nights camping with a little more sense of remoteness, it’s worth a trip.

Called in to stay for one night with 2 other mates. Not knowing the rate, we paid the asking price. Didn't know until the next morning that we had actually been ripped off. The lady charged each of us $34. Which is double. But of course no one was available before we left in the morning. Don't get conned by this place. We've been told afterwards she's done it before. Sad thing is she also had I'm guessing her kids in the office too so they also knew we were getting ripped off. Stay at the other site instead.
