Stayed here with family and friends for one night following long drive from Canberra and trips along the coast to some of the most beautiful beach resorts anywhere in New South Wales. This small but very well maintained hotel/Inn was a joy to stay in and the manager whose name I think was Craig was extremely courteous and friendly. The rooms we stayed in were clean and the shower and toilet were also well kept and functional. The bed was also very comfortable and fairly large so no worries about falling off during the night if you are somewhat tall. The room also had tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. We were also able to purchase beer and wine from the small selection Craig had in the fridge inside the small reception room which saved us a lot of trouble finding it outside as it was Xmas day and most of not all shops were closed. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling to or through Merimbula and it’s very good value for money too.

We booked direct and asked for a room on the 2nd floor. It afforded us a very nice view of the town and lake. The motel is older style, but was very clean and comfortable. The room was a good size, with queen bed, 2 seater settee, table and chairs. The usual MWO, plates, toaster etc. Shower was good, the aircon was older style, but was a split system so wasn't too noisy. We heated up the room, and turned it off when we went to sleep. The room remained warm all night.
Be aware if you google the motel, the address will be listed as Merimbula Drive, not 1 View street. The motel is on the corner of those streets. We were driving down and as as it was getting dark, had trouble finding it.
We walked down into the CBD for dinner, only a 14 minute walk.

Awesome place to stay. Amazing management, room lovely and clean, close to everything. Shower was nice and hot with great pressure, beds and pillows were very comfortable. Very knowledgeable to the area and gave us great tips of things to so. And our cooked breakfast was nothing short of amazing. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here and there was nothing close to an ocean view we seen, we were not greeted at reception on arrival and were told to check our email for a code to get into the room. The whole time we stayed there which was three days we only seen 1 housekeeper who was lovely... The rooms are tiny and squished together, it is outdated and not worth the money paid.

We stayed 3 nights Feb 2021. The room was comfortable. I did mention to owner issue with cobwebs and small spiders over window which he cleared and cleaned straight away. Kitchenette consisted of toaster, microwave and sink. I wrongly assumed kitchenette to have cooking facilities such as frypan and cook top. Advertised as large screen TVs but it is actually quite small tv. Aircon is noisey and had to turn it off at night. Ceiling fans good. The price was good as we booked directly with motel and paid $110 per night. Check in easy and owner friendly and helpful. Balcony small and not really usable felt to close if others walking past or using. Comfortable stay.

We arrived with car problems.Proprietors could not do enough. Gave us a "cooks tour" of the area in their own car. Offered further assistance.

Booked this as a last minute 2 night stay - not expecting too much but were very pleasantly surprised!
The room was very comfortable and clean, and the inclusion of a kitchenette with microwave was a bonus. bathroom products impressed me especially as they included makeup remover pads.
The mini bar items were reasonably priced and a good selection.
All in all I would strongly recommend this motel to anyone - if we ever come back this way we would definitely stay again.🙂

This place really needs updating. It is tired and old. Taps need washers, cupboards don’t close properly, rooms are small and poky. Not so close to town and all uphill and no paths on way back. Nothing to recommend it. View of distant ocean ok, but not a nice space to sit and enjoy

Stopped in on Merimbula and glad we found this Gem. Got a great price directly dealing with owners/management. Some would complain it’s dated but we loved it because it was so comfy everything worked perfectly and we had great personal service from management. Bed super comfy room was clean and well stocked we honestly couldn’t have wanted anything extra. Position is handy and some rooms have great views of water and lake. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice comfy motel room or holiday stay in Merimbula.

Comfortable room with great staff.
You could walk into town to the shops and eateries.
We didn’t use the pool put other families staying enjoyed it.
The seaview would have been lovely if we hadn’t had the smoke from the nearby fires, which was a shame.
Craig even helped us find a way out of the fires to make our way back to Melbourne, with so many fires and road closures it was a difficult time to enjoy our holiday. Hopefully we can return to Merimbula in the future.
