Spacious self contained waterfront apartments. Stayed here with our mother who has limited mobility. It was the perfect location for those with a mobility scooter - flat pathway along the lake with easy and safe access into town and also to the lovely Merimbula boardwalk.
Don't forget to bring all the water toys (kayaks, SUPs, jetskis, fishing rods etc) because Merimbula Lake is right on your doorstep.
Owners Rhys and Leanne could not have been more helpful and were a delight to interact with. Can't wait to return!

We have just returned from staying 8 nights at these beautiful apartments.
They are fitted out with everything that you need to make you feel at home.
The apartments are spotlessly clean with comfortable beds for a great nights sleep.
The location is perfect; 2 minutes walk to the beach, 4 minutes walk to Crankys Cafe and a quick walk over the bridge to the shops, clubs and restaurants.
The view from the living room and balcony is amazing - you wouldn’t have to leave the apartment if you didn’t want to.
Rhys and Leanne do a wonderful job running these apartments - we are already looking forward to our next trip to Sails this time next year.

My family of 4 stayed here for 7 days. The apartment is well located on Fishpen Road opposite the the Boardwalk around Merimbula Lake. The apartment is well furnished with 2 lovely bedrooms, lovely lounge, a great kitchen and even a spa which we did use a couple of times. Due to covid 19, we catered most of our meals and found the kitchen easy to use with good utensils supplied and lots of pantry space for our one week food supply. The owner Rhys is most helpful, helping us to check in and check out. He also gave us lots of useful local information on where to buy fresh local fish, etc.
Thanks Rhys for a most enjoyable stay. We will definitely come back if we are ever in Merimbula again.

After making a non-changeable booking and pre-paying for it several weeks in advance we received a message the evening before our arrival requesting that we call them. Our call at 7:45am was met by a grumpy "You woke us up!" and we were told they could not accommodate us because of a maintenance problem. They said they would send us an email with similar properties and I requested that they notify the agent we booked through so that we would not be charged as a no-show. They promptly hung up on us and did not send the promised email. The booking agent told us that they had overbooked!

Doug. The apartment you were booked into had to be closed down urgently due to a severe water leak and flooding. This was out of our control and we did our best to give you notice . What did you expect us to do?? If you arrived without us giving you the information we would have still been in the bad books. We were not rude , dishonest and disorganized. Pretty harsh comments for no apparent reason.\ We had not overbooked we were just been honest, as we do not like turning business away, Cheer up mate .

My husband and I are almost at the end of our two week holiday here at Sails and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rhys and Leanne are wonderful managers, very friendly, so helpful and nothing seems to be a problem for them. Our two bedroom apartment is very comfortable and well equipped with all the mod cons plus nice big fluffy towels and washers (which we like to use.) Two toilets and bathrooms a bonus too! Our upstairs unit overlooks the fishpen across to the shopping area and there is always something to watch as traffic and pedestrians cross the bridge. Undercover parking is also a bonus. The only complaint we can think of is that wifi can be a bit hit and miss particularly in the morning. We will definitely return in the future!

Busy in the last week of February but, with only 12 units, I suppose the No Vacancy sign can be put out reasonably early. A funny mix of old style construction (solid) and new facilities such as near new kitchen and bathrooms. Friendly greeting on arrival and very clean unit. On the other side of the inlet to the shops and 100m from the beach, it is neither one nor the other. Pleasant gardens and a well equipped kitchen. WiFi was iffy – sometimes internet was quick, usually veeerrryyy slow, sometimes not available.

I’m a fly in and out worker and these apartments were exactly what I needed. Close to the airport, shops and hire car locations and the beach was a 200metre walk away which was an added bonus ! Rhys was amazing in helping us out. He was always ready to help if we needed anything, we had to extend our stay 3 times and he made everything so easy. The apartment was bigger than my own at home and had every dish I needed to make myself any meal. The bed was comfortable and cosy. I felt like I was at home the whole time. Even though I was there for work it felt more like a holiday. Will come back one day when I can for an actual holiday !

Sails was the perfect place for a couple to stay in Merimbula. Located conveniently, in walking distance between the main beach and the main town/restaurant strip it was easy to walk almost everywhere. Additionally the apartment was modern, neat, clean and the aircon worked perfectly. The spa inside and balcony overlooking the water was wonderful! Rhys and Leanne were fantastic to deal with. We will definitely be back :)

large 2 bedroom apartment. TV in lounge room. None in bedrooms.
Tiny one shampoo and one conditioner supplied. Basically bring your own. large towels were great but no where to hang 2 large towels in ensuite.
Ensuite is tiny but there is a second bathroom which is large where we hanged our towels on hooks on back of door.
Toilets didn’t flush well, need to hold button to flush and there was smell by the last day we stayed there.
Need to empty the bins on your last day and wash and put dishes away.
Swimming pool has no privacy from road traffic ect.
Outdoor seating on balcony but shame not undercover as would be utilised more. Lovely view from lounge room.
Location is walking distance to beach , local great Cafe called Cranky cafe and town.
Bed was very comfortable and pillows were ok.
Parking undercover is a tight squeeze but doable.

On both ends of the pool. You have on one end 3 steps down and on the other end you have like a sitting area.There is also a rail to help you down into the pool.
