Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 2 nights & found the room was bright, cheery and very quiet. One of the best features is how Central it is to everything in Maclean. The Bowling club (next door) was friendly & very poractive of the "COVID" issues so the patrons felt safe.

The executive king room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also well stocked and thought the make up remover was very thoughtful and a nice little extra touch.
I definitely recommend this facility for a stop over or even to juts get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Club Maclean executive king room is a most comfortable, large, clean motel room. The fridge has a usable freezer where ice blocks could easily be re-frozen. The motel is adjacent to the Maclean Bowling Club where you can enjoy delicious australian chinese. Parking is directly in front of the rooms. We also enjoyed Botero cafe for an excellent take away coffee and delicious egg and bacon roll for breakfast. Highly recommended, we stayed here on 2 occasions, while travelling to and from Qld. Linda and John were beyond helpful in securing us a room for our 2nd stay.

This is the third time I have stayed in the disability accessible room. My other two stays were great! Unfortunately this time I was very disappointed.
Was charged $20 more then booking quote and instead of separating the comfy king bed into two king singles as before, they made up the sofa bed. Now this caused two issues. Lack of room to move around in the room and I wouldn't put my pet on the sofa to sleep it was that uncomfortable. You could actually see the springs shape through the sheets!
My companion ended up having to sleep in the king bed with me and this just shouldn't have happened.
I was prepared to let the $20 overcharged go but after the rude response when I nicely tried to explain I had a bit of a gripe

We stayed one night returning to NSW from QLD. Excellent property which was extremely clean with all amenities that you would need. Plenty of tea/coffee, plates and cutlery and even dishwashing liquid with tea towel!. Superbly located within minutes walking distance to IGA, restaurants and cafes. Free parking within the property. Don't think twice booking this property if you are looking for a place to stay overnight.

The managers were lovely. The room was clean and tidy and freshly renovated. The perfect place to stay when visiting the Clarence Valley. The rates are so affordable. All the modcons of a motel with smart TV's that enabled sign in on your own Netflix account and usb chargers on outlets. I highly recommend staying here.

Most of the great attributes of this motel have been adequately reported by other reviewers. I was immensely impressed by the message not to wash dishes, glasses and cutlery in the bathroom sink. The motel staff remove used implements and replace them with clean items which have been washed in a proper environment.
Also thank you for the use of your Tesla charger.

Room (for 2) was very neat and clean. Wifi fast, usb charging points built into power points. All normal facilities.
Being in the Bowls Club complex is a bonus. Club has an excellent Chinese restaurant.
Manager, Shane Collier, deserves a mention for his beyond and above assistance with our arrangements.

Stayed for only one night in one of the accessible rooms as we had a high needs disabled person with us. We rang ahead with specific requirements of the room and felt very confident with Shane the manager to carry out our needs.
The room was comfortable, and suited our needs perfectly.
Thanks again Shane for a hassle free stay, which is sometimes unusual when travelling with the disabled.

Stayed in the family suite for 2 nights - King bed in main along with kitchen amenities, second bedroom with 2 single beds and extra TV was a winner with the children. Everything was virtually new, great Chinese restaurant on site and walk to shops and local pool which is a fantastic pool. Quiet and comfortable and excellent value compared to other more beachside towns.
